@gargeebasak96484 жыл бұрын
Went through that a couple of years ago. You'll get the hang of it. It's cool

Layers are basically like pieces of plastic stacked on top of each other and you're painting on them. So imagine layer 1 is a sheet and then you put layer 2 on top of 1. Anything you draw or color on layer 2 is its own layer. So if u erase a dot you made on layer 2, it won't erase whatever you drew on layer 1. For clipping imagine you draw a circle on the bottom layer and then on the top layer you chose clipping. Now anything you draw on layer 2 will stay in the confines of that circle or whatever shape you drew. This makes it so you can for example shade on a separate layer from your base shape. Don't know if this helped! My best advice would be to go in an art program and experiment!

Clip Studio's almost always on sale.. I bought it at 60%. I had to persuade my mom to use her card because we never use money online. And that was the first... I bought Clip studio paint ex for the animation, before, it was literally like the traditional frame by frame -like REDRAW EVERYTHING! you can't copy paste and edit the second layer to make it easier. However, I don't know when they had the update, but now it has a feature of motion and audio, which is nice and cool. Love you Clip Studio Paint

Also, some other shortcuts if anyone is interested: -Ctrl+T for transform, also fun fact, if u hit ctrl+t and there's nothing selected, it will transform the whole layer. -Ctrl+U for the tones thing -Ctrl+ click on the layer thumbnail for selecting everything on that layer. -If u work with a lot of layers like me and want to access to one quickly, Ctrl+shift+ click what you're looking for on the canvas.(tho I'm not quite sure if it's ctrl+shift+Alt or ctrl+Alt bc I know this shortcut more by muscle memory)

Also adding onto my old comment, DON'T rely on final cropping for composition purposes, establish your composition in the *sketch* , that is one of the many things a sketch is for. This is so that you don't have to crop out part of the picture that you worked hard on and sacrifice your effort, it's overall a far more efficient way to make art and it's just good practice.

Totally forgot about the line border thing, very useful! Tbh you merging all of the layers hurt my soul, you never know when you want to adjust a certain part of the picture and i feel that using layer FOLDERS would be more useful as it essentially merges the layers without actually merging anything, *especially* in Clip; you can add clipping layers to them, you can select everything in the folder as if it were one image and it organizes your layers in bigger projects. (also they're collapsible) Dont know if you already know this or not, but this is advice for anyone reading i guess lel. (also if you need proof that you drew something, showing layer information instead of a flat image is more solid)
