Hi Octavia, you’re so kind to share your soap dough recipe, thankyou. Your soaps are lovely. I have been making soap dough using my soap formulation and squishing it before it gets too hard, I’ve two recipes I use and they are pretty sticky. The big problem that I’m having is that after using the embeds in my soap they tend to be loose and can be pushed out of the bar of soap!! Do you have any idea as how I can get around this? I would be so grateful for any imput….

@@OttaviaSoapthankyou for responding so soon…the canes of soap dough embeds are pliable, not dry and the dough is workable if pressed….I am using two different formulations, one for the soap dough and another for my main batter, do you think that could be the problem?

@@minnoux In my experience I insert the embeds when they are hard (not completely cured but dry). I use 2 different formulations in these months because I am assessed. I have never had problems with different consistencies of dough. So I think you shoud let the canes dry before inserting, make a water discount in the recipe or the soap dough and , if necessary, increase the hard butters (cocoa, shea) in the recipe of the dough. Try in this way.

Hola, sí, el agua es el 30% de los aceites. La supergrasa es el% de aceites y mantecas que quedan sin saponificar para hacer que el jabón sea más delicado.

Sveet almond oil sometimes causes rancidity. It is better to have more butters than oils in the recipe. Can you find some butters less expensive?

Puede reemplazar el aceite de argán con otro aceite o, mejor aún, con manteca de cacao, que está bien como pasta de jabón. Pero tienes que volver a calcular el peso del hidróxido de sodio. Puede utilizar una calculadora en Internet. Intente usar SoapCalc.net Un último consejo, ya que la temperatura está bajando porque es otoño, no pongas el jabón en el horno para forzar el gel sino guárdalo en la nevera por la noche (para evitar que pase por la fase de gel) y sácalo. del molde solo después de 48 horas. Cubra bien con una envoltura de plástico. Entonces debería hacerlo mejor.

My soaps are Vegan and therefore I have never tried to use cow oil or sheep oil and goat oil. You should do some tests to see if the result is the same
