For the green one, if you put slits in them around the husk then bake them for 30 minutes at 200°, it will come right off. Then you let them dry in the oven more after the cool down or hang dry them! :)

Hello, new sub here. I'm not a homesteader or a gardener, but I came across your recent videos, and I am absolutely in awe of you. The things you accomplish in a day are exhausting to watch! 😮 You're adorable and strong as an ox. I hope you one day get your dream land and I can't wait to see what you'll do with that! You're amazing! Much love from Rhode Island. Terry 🙏♥️💯

Love this! I grew loofah for the first time this year and I’m excited to try and make these. I wonder if maybe baking the green ones at a low temp would help with peeling the skins or putting in a dehydrator? Hmmmm

Hi I am going to start growing loofahs the spring. Do I have to worry about rodents? Any idea on how to keep them away?
@olgavitiuc3357 Жыл бұрын
I never grew loofahs and know nothing about them, but is it possible to dry them off the vine? Like, if you hang them in the basement or a garage so they don't get rained on, will they dry, or will they rot? ETA: also, is it loofah, or luffa? :)
@itsbreellis Жыл бұрын
It can be spelled either way! I tried to dry a few last year in my basement and even with good airflow they got moldy. I plan to try out drying a few different ways this year to see if I can figure something else out

Hello, can you clarify the “1:4 ratio of water to vinegar?” Do you really mean 1 cup water to 4 cups vinegar? Or is it 1:4 vinegar to water? (i.e. 4 cups water, 1 cup vinegar?) thank you! Love the idea to sew in the soap bar; I plan to try it! Also what part of the country are you in? I’m in Austin, pretty sure I planted my luffa in mid April, and hoping they’ll dry up enough to harvest before I need to get fall veg in the ground at the beginning of September. Thanks!!
