Wow, what you said on OF is so important. How empowering can it be if we are doing exactly what our oppressors want? Women are pleasing men by forcing themselves to do this sexwork. You can't buy consent when the whole system pressures, conditions, sexualizes, and coerces the woman/seller. Have you read Ways of Seeing by John Berger? It's super eye opening in general but there's a great bit specifically about the way that women are forced to contantly percieve themselves due to them being constantly surveyed by men (so they become so aware of how they are acting/ presenting themselves) whereas men can make throwaway comments etc. and it not contribute to the way they're percieved in general.

Slightly disagree with you on the only fans point. There's honestly no right answer but I think it's possible to not cast a moral judgement on sex work - ie it's good/empowering or it's bad/belittling - because at the end of the day (under capitalism) most work is degrading. I think we should concentrate on ensuring sex workers are given rights and respect, rather than debating/morally judging their existence.

Yeah you’re completely right and the issue with me doing it is that there was no sense of safety or a secure environment at all and with that I didn’t have enough resilience to carry on with it. The issue and blame is not cast on SW’s at all, I’d like to reiterate that the problem was with the disregard and disrespect SW experience daily because of their portrayal in society, not because of them doing SW in the first place so I apologise if it came off that way !
