I've decided to have a hooded fleece as a mid layer, you mentioned having just a shell with fleece, do you think that will be warm enough? or is a down jacket needed outside the fleece? amazing video by the way.

I was saying that there were 3 options: 1) baselayer + light fleece + synthetic mid layer + insulated trench coat, 2) baselayer + thicker fleece + mid layer + shell with no insulation, 3) baselayer + thick down jacket. Just a fleece wouldn’t be warm enough for me unless is was just -5C and I was doing high output activity.

I m aiming 1 25l with clothes rest in weightless daypack. Nano puffa wasnt warm enough had to buy a thicker jacket

Yea depends where your travelling. Some places you''ll need a thicker piece.

I tried looking for them but I don’t think the company exists anymore. I occasionally see them on eBay for $100. I just type in insulated waterproof trench coat. I’ve tried to find an alternative out there but haven’t found one yet.

The arctyrjx is your insulating layer and your mountain hardware jacket is your mid layer, common bro, get the terms right.

Vivobarefoot shoes are not just for anyone. You have to get used to zero drop and lack of cushioning. These Vivobarefoot boots will be murder for urban jungle so I would not recommend for general purpose travel.
