I think you should go for masters it's just 2 years of fees plus as you are a master's student you can directly Start intership or part time job in your field of study plus the are lot more scholarship in masters comparing to bachelor's and i think going for masters in abroad makes much more sense than bachelor's irrespective of how much money you have as it wouldn't be as drastic change cause as you have already know how to live without parents in your bachelor's while if you go after 12 not only you are living without your family but you are you are living without your family in a whole different country

Well.. even if you get an admit, it wouldn't be easy to get visa if you don't have immovable assets or parents income to pay for the fees. That is what most miss.. Plus letters of recommendation for a student studying in jhumritaliya govt high school.. is not going to be acceptable irrespective of how good of a student you are.. So if you have ancestral property worth 50-60 lakhs.. parents income more than 10 lakhs.. and you study in a great school of a big city.. (and yes kanpur, raipur, bhopal, kochi, etc come under big cities only, not just delhi, mumbai, bangalore, etc) then all what he says applies to you.. otherwise.. practically not possible.. unless you can convince the visa officer that you are surely going to payback the loans. better idea is get into iit, iiit, nit, and then go for ms. If you are good enough and hard working enough to get 150k + package in USA you should be good enough to get into nit at least and get a 20-30 lpa in here.. (talking about cs)

I think lot of people are confused whether they should come to the US or not if you are Indian or Chinese. Do you want the one line answer? Ok, I will give you the answer first: DON'T COME TO THE US! Now let's move to the explanations. Let me tell you what happens with most people who come to the US. They come to study and then they want to stay. This happens with most. If you think I am wrong ask the Indian or Chinese people who currently come to study here. So you will come to study here and then want to stay here. To do this you will have to be on H1B visa. And to have H1B visa after 6 year limit you will need an I140(a Greencard application). Living on an H1B is hard since you depend on the employer to keep your status. Now you have to do this until you get a Greencard. For Indians the wait is 195 years(LET THAT SINK IN) and about 18 years for Chinese. It is EXTREMELY stressful to be on H1B while you wait for the Greencard. Your health will suffer immensely. Don't understand why some people still keep telling Indians and Chinese to come, study and work in the US. Once you marry and have kids while on H1B it becomes harder to leave the US. There is no hope for Indians and Chinese in US. So don't waste your time and money coming here. Many Presidents have come and gone and promised changes but no changes have come in the last 20 years but no one cares for the plight of Indians and Chinese. Trust me don't push yourself and your family into a Black hole that people of Indian and Chinese origin have pushed themselves for DECADES waiting for the Greencard!! People of other countries get the Greencard in less than a year. So I shall repeat again: NO NO NO! Don't come to the US. Don't waste your time and your and parents hard earned money. US will use and throw you. If you want to live, study and work abroad. Go to a country which has a good immigration policy like Canada, which grants Greencard in 5 years.

Every one who goes to US says I paid my fees myself, because first of all you can get part time jobs easily to pay of atleast the food and housing expense and with scholarships tution fees reduce. My cousin went to US and their parents used to brag about him paying for his own expenses... but the truth is people in India don't even have the intial money to pay the first year fees of 25+ lakhs for the students, anyone who goes to US has to have a +1 crore surplus in liquid assets so no problem arises or immovable assets for loan, i'm sure there would be cases when students had to drop out and come back to India because of money issues if you just went there thinking you will earn and pay. Harnoor also would have had 1+ crore assets in home because I doubt he knew he would be able to get part time jobs easily.
