I've been using the GW line of brushes. They are pretty solid for the price. I use their base (M), layer (M) and the Artificer layer brush. I might start picking up cheap base brushes because no matter how often I clean and use pink soap, the base brushes get trashed. The Artificer brush is probably one of the best brushes I've used. It does have a steep price tag though. I picked up a Kolinsky Sable #0 round the other day to see if does as good of a job for a lower price. I'd stick with the GW ones and some pink soap. Maybe pick up something new here and there just to try them out to see if you like another type. I don't have the money myself, but I hear the Windsor Newton series 7 are suppose to be the "best".

Really enjoyed. Great video, Cypher looks really good (well as good as a filthy traitor can look). I missed what you used the Army Painter matt white for though.

So Cal Astarte Matt White for all the white stuff (skulls and the wings on the back of the sword).

Did you undercoat with gray, then white over it? I've never used Army Painter Matt White before. You prefer it over Citadel white paints?

I still undercoat with a grey and yes I do like the Army Painter Matt white over the citadel whites. It doesn't feel as runny. I hate doing anything in white though. It's such a pain in the butt paint to work with.

You are right about that. White is a pain. Lots and lots of coats! Yellow is a pain as well. Your Cypher looks great though bud. Thanks for posting it!

You should read the Angels of Caliban. It almost confirms your theory that Zariel is Cypher.

It does not confirm this 100%, [spoiler] it kind of shows how Zahariel falls toward warp taint and it is quite possible that he will be unsalvagable until destruction of Caliban. Don't get me wrong, this theory is currently best bet for me, but I'm far from stating it for certain. Also, Cypher is agile marksman and Zahariel is just a overpowered psycher. BTW. For Luther! For Caliban!

Wouldn't be easier to paint the pieces separately ?

Eh, probably. I just haven't gotten to that way of painting yet. There are a few models that I've done it too. I don't immediately paint my duders when I get them, I'll play them before hand. I have started to use blue poster tack putty to hold models together before I paint them, if I know an area with give me trouble when I paint it.
