Hi team! 💜 Hope the WANT analysis proves useful for you, and let me know how you get on with it! I literally use this before doing any new setup, whether that's a new journal, or just a new month/week 😊 Often I won't write out the ones for the new week (there's just less to consider, so I can do it in my head) but it's super helpful for those new journal and monthly setups 💪 If you wanted to see an expanded version of this in action though, so we can do the analysis together, jump over to this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHKyg4Bvm6pspK8

Hi @jashiiCorrin thank you for this video. I will use it to become intentional about my next year! Do you realise that this system works perfectly for that? Did you come up with it? If so - congrats. Goes right into the psychological work of Tiago Forte and Ali Abdaal (Feel good productivity). Do you know that book? I think you'd love the idea, it's very good for us over-thinkers and planning addicts ;-)

Me too, actually. I just started a new weekly stream on Twitch which I'm calling "Bullet Journaling for Chaos Gremlins" (also uploading the VOD to my channel here) and I think I mentioned you, Jess, about 100 times. Also made a point of linking your channel because you have been such a valuable resource for me. I'm doing it all "wrong" and it's really helping me get my sh*t together :D I'm reaching out to an audience that's pretty new to the subject, so I think I might walk them through your WANT method next week as I plan for January. Thank you ❤

This is a great process for anyone thinking about their planner for next year! I am a multiple disc bound planner girly and this is the kid of analysis that I need to do to avoid duplication and to record the things that matter to me most.
@JashiiCorrinКүн бұрын
For sure! 💜 especially for those of us who set up or bring together our own layouts rather than having a pre-printed full planner, it can be very easy to accidentally duplicate things, leave things out, or anything similar 👏

Another awesome vid! Your voice is so easy to listen to, if youre ever in need of another "side hustle" you could record yourself reading childrens books to help them sleep ☺️ very soothing. Also, back to bujo stuff- every year i buy a cheapo tiny set of sticky notes and stick them to each page as a placeholder for what i want. It helps me make sure i dont miss anything, and i can work out how many pages i have between each month (180 pg book means 15 pages per month) and i break down stuff like budget, level 10life, goal notes etc spread between them all. If theres more pages that dont divide nicely, ill put in things like your 52 lists of 25 things for '25, plus other spreads youve inspired. And yes ive already set up the entirety of next years bujo 😂😂 couldnt resist and cant wait to get stuck in!💜💜

I did the same for my 2025 planner. I did sort of preplanning and listed everything I want and need. I feel like I’ll setup the planner better or should I say more functional by doing this.
@JashiiCorrinКүн бұрын
I’d agree, yeah 💪 always feel like I include more of those “let’s solve a problem” layouts when I did this pre-planning 👌

Great idea! Where did you get that clear ruler/stencil you used at the beginning to divide the pages up?

That one is from Archer & Olive 😄💜 www.archerandolive.com/products/revamped-dot-grid-stencil?aff=103

Jashi, what if 2025 will be my first year of bullet journaling?
@JashiiCorrinКүн бұрын
You can still do this process, it’ll just look a little different 😊 you’ll probably focus more on the N and T sections, but you can also consider you general likes and dislikes for W and A

You could think of other types of planners you've used over the years and write about how they did or didn't work for you :) even stuff like calendars that your school handed out for free or Google/Apple calendar if you use those.

Watch a bunch of jashi's vids, make note of what appeals to you. Also, a pencil and eraser are your friends! Until you're confident with what fits into your journal, sketch it out before doing it in pen- the amount of times I was one column short in my first bujo is embarrassing lol! Good luck, have fun, don't stress if it's not perfect! And remember that your bujo is meant to work for you, not the other way around- functionality is more important than having all the decorations and supplies 💜💜 I hope this helps, enjoy!
