Nice tutorial video. I always use charcoal as one of the potting mix in my media. My environment is humid and we can get daily showers in the summer, so I add lava rock or leca beads to help dry out the charcoal.

Brilliant! Never thought I could rehydrate charcoal for my orchids. Just a question though, how do you deal with your spider mites infestation?

Hi!🤗 until now I’m not sure if I totally eradicated the spider mites. I tried different things, I sprayed them with diy oil based insecticide but it burned the leaves, I also tried spraying with little dishwashing soap but I think the ones that worked are rooster shampoo and malathion. Miticide would work best but I don’t have it.

Hi!😊 depends on how you water your orchids and how much fertilizer you are using, my regular watering is just to wet the orchids but with “flushing” i make sure that i soak the media so that there’s minimal mineral/salt build ups

Hi!😀 ok naman orchids ko sa uling, compared sa bunot tingin ko mas matagal matuyo ang bunot pero depende pa rin, kung gaano sila kalaki, kung ano ang pot mo and kung saan mo ilalagay. Pag nagrerepot ako depende din kung ilang days ko sila bago diligan. May videos din ako ng repotting😀 may 1week bago ko diligan pero meron ding dinidiligan ko dretso, depende sa orchids 🙂

Hi!🤗 mas gusto kong gamitin ang charcoal kesa sa Coconut husk kasi prone to rot at snails ang Coconut husk. Although mas gusto ng seedlings na hindi magdry up, masarap din namang magdilig.😀 Minsan talaga may mamamatay sa orchid natin, sad pero nagyayari talaga. Cheer up!😊

Hi!🤗 just rinsing them with plain water or heavy watering at least a month. I use water hose directly from the faucet instead of using my sprayer. I water all of them and then after watering all of them, I come back to the first one and water all of them again. I make sure to do it early in the morning on a day when I think it will be hot and sunny😊
