"I went from 5th decile (which I was still happy with) to 1st decile in my 4th year written exam! I never thought this was possible for me. Using anki has helped me so much" -> Wow, what a progress! Thanks for sharing :-) I've discovered Anki today so I'll try to give it a go :-)

Let me know how you get on with anki - good luck!

@@DrTashBinnie Thank you. I used it for several days to prepare for an exam and I believe I scored 100%. That said it seems to me that I misused Anki... I feel it really shines for medium to long term knowledge retention rather than several days worth of sprint ;-)

This is so useful! I am also trying this for my fourth year! Just wondering how you built you initial base of knowledge first, before being able to do passmed questions etc?

just want to ask - so you don't do the condition as a whole in anki? like a card on the investigations, management, RF etc? trying to figure out how to use passmed and anki together just started clinical rotations and i am struggling haha. If you only highlight the green part then how do you learn the rest of the stuff linked to that condition?

Just because you didn’t get a reply. I did my cards like this on Brainscape (one on definition, one on signs/symptoms, one on investigations etc) and got 68% in my recent exams with a month and a half worth of grinding out the cards and doing questions alongside. I memorised to a mastery of 49% (which covered most the main concepts). Hope that helps somewhat!

This is so helpful, thank you! How many passmed/anki questions would you recommend doing each day?
@DrTashBinnie Жыл бұрын
Aw it really depends. Mine were super quick (approx 7 seconds per card) so I did around 500 a day (and a bit more nearer exams).

Was waiting for this video for so long since I’ll be starting 2nd year at KCL- how do you think you could split up the Anki specialties for stage 2? thanks for sharing!!
@DrTashBinnie2 жыл бұрын
Glad you found it useful! Really tricky - but you could split them up by the 8 blocks you do in stage 2? I'd say keeping it more general is best as that is how your exams will be.
