It also makes us so happy when we can have some very nice meals on a budget too! It is really worth the effort of checking the prices for the same items at different stores because there really can be a huge difference. Just in this video alone, Janice saved as much as actually over 50% on individual items! For a long time, we didn’t realize that the grocery stores that used to offer a “price match guarantee” just can’t do this now. We have the hardest time finding dairy items at a good price, but we keep on checking ads, and sometimes we get lucky! Mr. Green Snake looked so funny going through the pink bicycle basket! That was amazing, because we never get little green snakes that are so long like that one! The photo in the children’s reference book showed one that was curled up and even longer! Very fascinating to see the little creatures people run into sometimes! We continue our triple digit heat wave! Creatures big and small are finding good places to nap through the hottest part of the day. Our feral kitty colony is doing very well. They are smart enough to be drinking plenty of fresh water that we make sure they have, and so far, no animal heat stroke, thanks be to God. That can happen here in severe heat, even to little birds. Strawberries from Aldi- I am glad you got your berries at another store. Recently strawberries from Aldi in Omha I bought had well hidden bad ones in the pack and the rest went bad very fast. I barely got about 1/2 of what I bought eaten by binge eating them the week my freezer was too full to put them there and I was unable to bake with them. At Aldi- my fruit usually goes bad faster than fruit bought elsewhere. I still love Aldi though. God bless!

Yes!! I put it into ice cubes trays and freeze in amounts for 1 cup of coffee and pop them into a Ziploc bag after opening and use in my iced coffee, so yummy, I love iced coffee

My parents used to slice strawberries and put them in the freezer in a plastic container. They would put sugar in them, but you could leave it out. They would be a little soft and liquidy when they thawed. They were good as a topping on oatmeal, pancakes, ice cream etc.

We had a black snake on our steps a few weeks back. I finally had to move him to our gardenia bush. He has remained there or shows up there daily. He likes to be squirted with the water hose when I'm watering flowers. I don't really care for snakes but know he is safe and that he has a purpose so he can stay. Life in the country is always interesting

Hi Janice, I have a question: where do you get your great Pyrenees? They're originally from France (so am I), but they cost a fortune in the USA. Do you go to a rescue? I love these guys, but cannot afford having one. I already have a goofy chocolate lab but would love to add a Great Pyrenees to our small 3 acres, to keep company to our goofball lab who has separation anxiety. Thank you. Shedding is not an issue: Samson the lab sheds seasonally, which means: every season! Yay!

Hello Janice - great video. I am learning a lot. Can you speak to your cleaning, laundry and personal care hauls/ budgets? Are these a separate category? Also items for sewing projects and school purchases. Are these separate also? It All Comes out of the Grocery Budget for laundry 🧺 n cleaning 🧼🧹 n hygiene item's ❣️... Clothing is separate I think 🤔💭, She uses vinegar for cleaning, n makes laundry detergent 😮❤❣️... My daughter Buys Vinegar, n Oxy powder n Dawn liquid n uses for her laundry 🧺 I'll ask her how much of each she uses, the 5 girls clothes are always stain free 😮n it amazes me, but it costs so little compared to the name brands n She gets store brand dryer sheets, she Makes Alot of the things she uses, Even detangler, for their long hair, it's great 😃❤n less chemicals too n children n my son 🚫 break out anymore 😊❣️... We get Oxy powder , Cleaning vinegar at Dollar Tree Walmart if it's on Roll back ❣️

My neighbors give me their cream from their 4 jersey cows, they sell the raw milk and give me all the cream, ( I help alot when they are away ) what I don't take they will sell. I've been making so much butter and freezing it and freezing the cream. I do make my own vanilla creamer for my coffee.
