How I Shave and Cut My Pixi Haircut

Here's how I cut my pixi cut! I only cut the sides and my nags in this video because that's all I currently needed done. Last time I cut my hair, I cut it shorter than usual, so I'm growing out some of my lengths still. If you want to cut all over the length, just keep repeating how I cut my bangs. Hold a section straight up and cut the same amount from each section. It's very easy. That's even how I cut my pixi from when I had shoulder length hair.

Random Shuffle in this video I use the 1 inch guard. If I don’t want to cut my hair as often I’ll do 3/4” so I say try 1” first and then if your hair is too thick go over again with 3/4”

Thanks for the tutorial. When I cut my hair I start with a higher blade #. And see the effect then after 2 weeks I use 1 or 2 #s down. Play safe till I get The result I want and like. Been cutting it 1 year now.

Jill Lopate hair always grows back, if you’re wanting to try a pixi give it a try! If you’re scared wait til quarantine is over and get the first cut done by a professional, this works for upkeep/to save money over time. I have a friend who is 72 and we have the same haircut, she gets compliments all the time

I watched this a few times then did it myself, came out pretty good for first time. Thanks for the video. An ad at the top of the video got in the way of seeing what you were doing at one point and then at another spot your top of your head was cut off so I couldnt see the back.

Love love LOVE how your hair looks! I really want to do this, but I've read that doing a clipper cut will make the hair stick straight out from the head, instead of lying flat. However, yours looks like it is lying flat beautifully! Is that because you have thin/fine hair? Or did you wet it? Or is it simply due to the long guard length? I'm nervous to try it because my hair is thicker and I don't want to look like a porcupine, lol! 😂

Angie Hepp I cant really say, I think your hair would only stick straight out if you have cowlicks. Having fine hair possibly helps, I’ve never had thick hair so I can’t compare. I’d say go get your cut by a professional the first time, watch exactly what they do and then recreate it at home every 4-6 weeks when you need trims
