I just returned from a road trip for work and had mushrooms in my lawn. Don't think I need to water too much this coming week.

Same here, that reminds me was going to do a video on it!

Don't recall you putting irrigation in, did you make a video of this?
@GrassDaddy6 жыл бұрын
No unfortunately it was before I started making videos, I had a company install it.

Can you try gator blades for your Honda mower and do a comparison with tall grass
@GrassDaddy6 жыл бұрын
I'll have to see, I don't know off hand if they make them for the HRX as it is dual blade design

I can't find the main water turn on. I turned the solonoids a quarter turn but do you any idea where it could be? I've looked in the crawlspace and all over the outside - no luck
@GrassDaddy4 жыл бұрын
It's possible you have two water mains, one for house one for irrigation. Many people who pay for sewer usage do this because the sewer fees are based on water usage.

Nice video. Can you get away with watering once a week in the summer or do you add another day or 2 and only give 1/2 per watering.
@GrassDaddy6 жыл бұрын
SuperTA329 when it gets really hot I'll add a second day and do half an inch, but keep the weekly full inch

You should contact Rachio....maybe they would give you one of their controllers for free to do a review on. I highly recommend them...makes watering your lawn much easier and is more cost effective (no watering when it rains)!
@GrassDaddy6 жыл бұрын
yeah I've thought about it but in the summer water restrictions prevent us from watering except two times during the week, so its kinda pointless. I'd love it if they made an exception for smart controllers.

Grass Daddy - wouldn’t it still be beneficial to take advantage of rain skips and automatic split cycles? So if you set it to Tuesday/Thursday (can’t remember your watering days!) you literally would never need to touch your box again except to winterize and open for spring. The system would automatically create the split watering cycle for those 2 days, and would skip based on local weather reports. The gen3 has what they’re calling “hyperlocal weather intelligence” which narrows the weather down to your property within a 36 ‘ radius, which I think is pretty cool. Not trying to sell you on it though....I’m just into the whole home automation thing these days! 😊
@GrassDaddy6 жыл бұрын
the issue I have is if it's based on weather, our reports are always inaccurate lol.

Love your videos, but what makes a lawn look really clean is edging. Grass looks great, but around the edges (driveway, street) it looks chewed up. No straight lines.
@GrassDaddy6 жыл бұрын
Yeah unfortunately with the asphalt I can't get good edges. I really want to put in a concrete driveway!

We have water restrictions for most of the summer so there is only two days a week we can water lol smart controllers would be better but the city doesn't get it
