Our brains like order, and the constant visual reminders of clutter and disorganization is stressful and draining. Each space I declutter reduces stress. Decluttering has also encouraged other family members to be more open to doing the same. Thanks for all your tips and content🌷

I love cutting up old t-shirts to clean with. They are soft and don't have fluffs. And I don't feel bad throwing them away if I clean something dirty so they end up filthy.

Dropping items off at the donation center and coming home to a more spacious, clean and clutter free home always makes me want to declutter even more. Over the past couple of years I have reduced my household inventory by 50%. I’m still working on my clothes as that seems to be my biggest hurdle. Home repairs have my decluttering on hold for the next month so I have chosen 40-50 clothing items total to keep out and the rest is being boxes up until the repairs are done.

After a major declutter I continue with small touch up declutters. My house is so much nicer and I am able to let go of stuff more easily. I also buy less, saving myself from too much future decluttering. Your videos and a few others really are motivating.

Love the picture of your mom and dad at the end of the video. I'm going through all the family pictures and why on earth did I keep so many duplicates and ugly pictures! As a kid, I looked pretty nerdy 🤭so I kept a couple for laughs and got rid of the rest. No need to scare the posterity lol. 🤪🤣 The best thing about decluttering is that it's easier to clean and keep the house organized. Take care and cheers from a sunny Canadian day!🌟🌻🌼💛

Haha that is not my dad but Tom Selleck the actor. We randomly met him at the airport and my mom always liked him and got a photo with him. I also have a few photos from when I was a kid that make me laugh hysterically. Thank you for sharing what you love about decluttering. I hope you have a nice weekend.

I would have kept the baby booties. Its nice to see the picture of my son wearing the item and 30 years later have the item and picture. I have an apron my son wore while putting peanut butter and bird seed on a pinecone. In going to frame the Apron and picture together. Also I agree with the tv not being in the bedroom. We don’t have one because when we go to bed, we go to sleep, not watch tv.

I hate how many things come in special bags or boxes! Last Xmas my SIL bought everyone slippers from an online brand we like but each pair came in a special bag, so we ended up with 7 bags! My in laws were just going to throw them away or stash them forever so I took them to re-use and give away for re-use. And the same brand ships their t-shirts in polypropylene bags that I can’t think of any re-use for. It’s so annoying.

I love your videos. I need a best friend like you. My mom and I are close like you and your mom. However, she’s a keeper of all things and I have been decluttering my house for the past 4-5 years.

Rather than putting clothes that are too big dor my kids in with their current clothes I put them into a "To Grow Into" box and store it with out of season clothes. That way they aren't in the way with the clothes that fit them. My children grow quickly and I am always surprised how quickly they grow into them.

You had a great declutter this month! I declutter one item per day, and take a bag to the thrift store once a month. Currently on my first international travel since pandemic began. After all of my decluttering, my husband and I were able to pack with carry on only, and we’re not going in any gift shops this trip. And we’re in London! Just feels so wonderful and light. Bringing home only pictures and memories

LOVED the pic of your mom with Tom. My BFF met him at a volleyball tournament & she got us coffee mugs that said "Saving myself for Tom Selleck" I let go of that mug in 2018. Wasn't easy, but I did it !

Since I've decluttered to me it means I can totally keep my home in order and for times when I don't keep on tip of everything eg, when I'm ill with my fibromyalgia or when grandkids have been and wrecked my home ( which I love ) iylt takes no time at all to get it back in order tidy and clean so it's a win win win for me x

I bought that same puffer vest from Costco and found it just wasn't warm at all! You're smart to leave the tags on and test it out around the house. I hope it works better for you than it did for me :)

Decluttering gives me less stress as you have less stuff around your home. Funny, yesterday I decluttered 3 bras. Of course I decluttered more. Awe....Levi is growing too fast. I kept one or two handmade (knitted) high quality clothes in the really, really small sizes- after lending them to extended family. I love to see our (already mostly Second Hand) baby clothes on my nieces and nephews ❤️

Hi Lenny, I forgot to mention that the things I buy part would be any items that I am adding into my home. So not food or anything we would use up. Mostly clothes, furniture, decor, things like that. =)

Love your videos and motivation. I start to understand on the letting go. Once. I have the item in my hands I second guess myself. Please. Keep on making your videos for they give me motivation. I am a sentimental person and keep paperwork from when my boys were young. I used to keep bows and gift wrapping. I let go of that. Now looking at the “ mosquito fire” makes me think what will I take with me. Stay safe and blessings to you and your family.

You are inspiring. I just don’t like shopping, so I hate to declutter clothes, even if I don’t like them. Where do you shop? We have Macy’s, Kohl’s etc, but I can’t seem to find anything there, do you buy online?

Hello, I don't really like shopping either and I never have. As a kid it was impossible to take me shopping especially for shoes. If I need something I will usually try TJmaxx although the last few times I went there they had nothing I liked. I also have a few brands I like from Macy's so sometimes I will order things online from there. Then of course I sometimes see the random item at Costco.

Hi Anita, we actually did a video together a long long time ago. We both answered the same questions. I love Bayley's videos and lifestyle. I find it very inspiring! I wish I was as minimal as she is, but we have different lifestyles and locals which makes me have more stuff (my husband being a carpenter and fixing up an old house). But all that to say I really look up to her as an inspiration on how to stay minimal and organized.
