Thank you for not censoring things like using the word “thin”. For Pete’s sake, can people seriously not handle a freaking word now?? It’s maddening! Good for you. I'm 54, and in the last year, I got really serious about my health and the way I was feeling and looking. I was one stone overweight, and it was mostly on my tummy. My already narrow frame did not look good. I didn't feel sexy anymore. I noticed that I had started getting annoyed with my husband when he walked into a room and I was getting changed. I felt sluggish and down in the dumps generally. I had to step back and take stock. This wasn't his fault. It was mine. So I took action, joined a gym and dug deep. Now I lift weights three times a week, and I also do one spin class per week and I am happy to say I have lost the stone in weight, and I am now much more in the mood for loving 😂 I feel sexier, happier, lighter, and stronger. And yes, I am still building the body I want, but now that I have accepted this is a lifestyle, and it's part of my routine, just like brushing my teeth. I know I will get there. I have learned many things in the last year and for me 20% of my success is the exercise and 80% is what I put in my mouth (abs are made in the kitchen) and also that exercise is the number one most under utilised anti-depressant there is. Thank me later 😉 😂❤

This was very helpful to me. I just turned 50 this year, which sounds weird to say because I don’t feel 50, but I know my body is changing a lot. I have sore hands a lot, and I know part of it is that I am a professional gardener, but I am going to try cutting out more refined carbs and see if I can decrease the pain. I like your insight, and your personalization… it is inspiring to find what is gong to work for me. Since perimenopause, I have gained 10 pounds that just doesn’t want to budge. It is in my chest, shoulders and belly. I know that as we age, things start changing, but the concept of a ‘liveable’ diet that works for me is a great idea! Thanks!

Jenifer, this post has changed my life! I was ready to hear your message and it just resonated with my whole being. I’m 55 and have struggled with the question “ HOW DO I EAT?!” I’ve been on so many diets. One day I made a list of all the things that seem to agree with me and the bottom line was fruits, veggies and lean heathy meats. How do you feel about grains like oatmeal, quinoa, brown rice, etc? I also loved your intermittent fasting talk. So motivating. Your right, exercise is a sacrifice but I loved your honest view of “ What do you want? To feel good you need to sacrifice”. I’m going to check to see if you have a video of your work out but if you don’t have one please consider posting. I am a soda drinker causing belly fat to accumulate. Great anti water tips😅! Please know you are making a difference with these posts. 🎉 Finally some answers!!!♥️

That is my breakfast and lunch meal then I always have dinner no later then 5:30 so I am finished by 6:00. I then have a cup of hot tea around 7:00 pm that's it for the day. I eat mostly chicken breast veggies and salads. Not much of red meat. I weigh 135 lbs at 60 years young. I am 5' 6. That's 10 lbs more then I weighed all my life I fill great. I hate to exercise but do it first thing to get it over with. I stay active with my grandchildrens busy schedules. Love your channel. I have never committed before. I watch your videos now and again because of your personality. You come across as warm, passionate and genuine. I would not follow your diet advice as it would not suit me. In a world that is over focused on looks, I don’t want to be that example to my daughter. I want her to see a mom who eats ice cream, exercises for fun and wears the dress even if there is a bit of belly sticking out so I focus more on what my 50 yr old body can do and less on what it looks like. In this world of over focus on looks, I worry about the message I send to my daughter if I place too much value on being thin. In all fairness, I don’t live in a country that prioritizes thinness, I don’t put my body on social media and my partner doesn’t care about my weight. I cannot imagine how hard it is to live in a world where that is the case. You probably already know but in case you didn’t, you are beautiful but that is my no means all your videos have to offer.

Awesome video!! And thank you for mentioning that your hands and joints hurt when you eat refined carbs... I never thought this before, but I have noticed my hands, neck and back being super achey lately, and have been wondering why, when I don't physically exert myself on the daily. I do eat flour tortillas and tortilla chips pretty often, more often than I should. I'll try to lay off those things and see if it makes a difference! 😃🙌✨

If you don’t like water, try this: Fiji water in the freezer for 2 - 2.5 hours. It is the only water I drink and it’s amazing! Don’t skip the freezer part. Once you try it you’ll understand why!

Love it Entirely common sense based tips and kudos for not censoring yourself. What made biggest impact for me in terms of perimenopause is giving up caffeine almost completely Dealt w huge amounts of night sweats and insomnia before this Other than that, I eat pretty much what I want but in moderation My relationship w food has always been tricky and if I cut out any food group no matter what, I find myself v quickly in a spiral where all I think about is food So now I do the ‘French’ thing / a bit of e’thing but all in moderation And, lastly, am a yogi through and through and have been for about ten years now / in better shape now than I was when I still put myself through rigorous cardio workouts All in all, I think there is no one size fits all and we all have to do what works for us individually

You could always play around with lemon/lime/mint/cucumber, or fruit to infuse your water with. Love these types of videos. Your results speak for itself. You have it down to a science.

I’m definitely going to play around with those. Mint sounds delicious!!! Thank you! ❤️🤗

Thanks for this video. I’m like you. Looking good is important to me and somehow people think that’s a bad thing. Not only it’s good for me physically but mentally. When I look a certain way and I’m happy with the way I look, I feel good in my own skin. I also agree with what you said about eating and how it affects your body. I feel my best when I eat Whole Foods. Once in a while, I eat something out of the ordinary but I know I will not feel good after. That has helped me make better choices.

I am 59 and had lost 65 about 8 years ago then during 2020 I gained about 25 lbs back and feel awful about my body looks, feels, everything I have hypothyroidism as well for about 25 years now and am on Synthroid I made the decision about 10 days ago to get a body scale that gives you all the measurements, pilates magic ring, and pilates bar. been having serious issues with swelling ankles, fingers and my shoulders I think its arthritis never diagnosed but have sooo much swelling, when I lost the weight the last time I added iodine haven't done that yet but I am sticking to 1200 calories staying accountable. I stopped sodas about 8 years ago. Recently I was overdoing it with Chocolate chip cookies about a bag a week. it was my downfall. I am done with it. When I want something sweet now I am eating like 3-5 cherries or a small protein bar thanks for your video. What kind of Protein powder do you use?

I agree with everything you said. If you don't like plain water, try LeCroix sparking water. I love the Limoncello and Orange. Just a hint of flavor and is 0 everything!! Keep up the good work!!

Hi Jennifer, if you are intermittent fasting depending who you follow, but most say having coffee and tea are ok. As long as it does not spike your insulin. You can drink water, mineral water, apple cider vinegar, tea and coffee. And thank you for not censoring yourself, people have to learn to deal with words. Or don't watch. Things that trigger me, I don't watch. Thanks again for your video it helps a lot. And you look fabulous. And here is a new saying from my friend " A moment on lips a lifetime on your hips"

Girl you are amazing!!!! And so beautiful! Thanks for everything you’ve shared! Love hearing real life that I can relate to! I’m 54 and still in peri meno! Its been a huge struggle mentally and physically but I finally got my hormones checked and I’m getting myself straight again. In one year I’ve gained the freshman 15 that I never gained in college because I’ve always exercised my whole life and had lots of food discipline then suddenly it all stopped and I wasn’t prepared for it. I got anxiety and just lost my self but I’m determined to regain myself and I will. Keep up your amazing food discipline I’ll be following. I’m with ya on the eating after 7-8. You never mentioned alcohol I’m guessing you do not drink it since you said you don’t drink your calories?

Thank you so much for your complete honesty. I feel exactly the same way. When I’m not discipline with the types of food I put in my mouth, I get total brain fog, have low energy and feel like crap. Also, I like to keep fit. When I’m not feeling fit, I also have low energy, I exercise 20 min daily. My outcome of how I feel in any particular day is 100% dependent on what I feed myself. Thank you for this motivational video

i respect you for saying what you did in this video and the people that are upset need to face the fact that it may just be because they lack disipline and determination to get to their body goals! i am someone that has a hard time with the "bad/desert/fried" foods especially because my husband is a pastry and cookie guy, its here and i often cave even when eating healthy! i am uncomfortable in my skin and with my decisions at the moment and hope i can one day be as disiplined as you! ive just had my 4th baby and have lost 40 lb but when i hit a plateau i gave up on myself in a way and still have about 30 lb left to loose! have a wonderful day jen your absolutely gorgeous and im proud of you and i love watching your videos! you help me reframe the way i view certain things and its refreshing!

I'm 58 just in the past year had so many health scares unreal I went from young to feeling old and honestly I look great but my body was suffering lots of stomach diverticulosis had my gallbladder removed and ulcer - lost my Mom last year and everything just engulfed me. I'm doing my thing more vegan plant based and green smoothies I took myself off estrogen waiting on "Anna's wild yam" it's natural estrogen cream from Australia I think - they ran out of stock because we're all finding out how toxic things are....food was TV dinners binge sugar eating NO MORE it's not easy but worth the health benefit - I appreciate finding your videos because I can see it's working for you and makes me feel more confident in my new choices

Really appreciate this video as I am just beginning peri-menopause and your videos have already encouraged me to start focusing even just a little of body areas I am not happy with. Anyone can do 3 sets of 10 tricep dips etc I remember you saying that and you’re completely right! It makes it easier to do things when they aren’t giant mountains in our mind. Thanks for the encouragement and the happiness, love your positivity!

Honestly I'm 26 and I have two kids, I miss being 113. At the moment I am 120 and I know it is not far from my usual pre baby weight but dang I can't keep the weight off it just glides back on. I think my eating decisions are pretty bad in all honesty. So this is definitely encouraging, thank you:) you look great and your tips are helpful. Oh and one thing YOU ARE THIN 😉💓
