He knew them. But he wasn’t close to them like the movie portrays. Made guys were discouraged from associating with guys from other families. One of the first multi-family “crews” was Fox Jerothe, Tommy DiSimmone (Pesci from GoodFellas) and Sal Palosi. Supposedly, this was orchestrated by Carlo Gambino because he wanted to slowly start merging the 5 Families into 1 with Gambino as The Boss.

sportagus3 he definitely did go more in depth but this was 3 years ago so it isn’t fresh in my mind. In the beginning of the video it shows his website and his books towards the end of the video and I’m sure your questions would be answered if you read there. You will not regret it. He said in the video he’s done a ton of talks and I got to witness it. Truly amazing. If you figure it out I’d love to know. Wish I could help but it’s been a minute since his speech. I mostly remember my emotions towards the talk and him talking about his kids and wife everything else is blur

This guy is actually so lucky taking oath when your a mafia is a massive deal and for you to walk away and still survive today is a miracle. Walking away from the mafia is like walking away from your family, brothers sisters and he took that risk. He probably had all kinds of people hunting him down and torturing him in prison. I'm surprised he's even alive lol but I'm happy he did it before it was too late cause not all people are as lucky as him.
