Saffie Roussos, the youngest victim at 8 years old, lived in my town. Her parents owned a fish and chip shop. They had to buy a huge amount of buckets to put in the flowers that were laid outside the shop. I've never seen anything like it. It's hard to describe the feeling but I dont think I've ever noticed how loud true silence is, it's like being able to hear every little bump and change of the wind. The park right across the road from the mosque it happened at is a park that me and my mum would go for walks on weekly when I was a kid and seeing flowers covering from head to toe street to street is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life.
