It's nice to see a darker blonde result. Usually these videos as from ladies who bleach to level 10. Not everyone wants to go that light.

I just did my hair using this tutorial and it turned out beautiful! It is not perfect but since I cannot go to a salon right now, this touch up is exactly what I needed. If anyone reading this wants an additionnal tip for doing this, make sure to keep a damp washcloth near you when doing this. That way, if you get bleach on your gloves you can wipe it off before going and sectionning your next piece and accidentaly smear product on areas that shouldnt :)

I’ve been watching maybe a thousand root highlight videos but yours was the best of them all!! You explained the whole concept of developer percentage that no one ever does, your video was very clear and visually easy to follow, you have given me courage to step out of the vicious cycle of bleaching and finally: your hair came out amazing, you’re so beautiful 🤩💕

When they talk about developers only lifting a certain amount they are pertaining it to color only not lighter,with lighter you will get up to 7 levels of lift regardless,with color you have to bump that developer because color only processes for so long before it stops working,so you need that extra speed! Love the tutorial girl you are amazing ❤️
@teresasclub8943
@teresasclub8943 4 жыл бұрын
At my school they taught us that the levels of lift for developers is only on permanent hair color , whenever I do a full foil at school I always start with 10 volume and depending where I’m at I will do 15 and then 20 for the top , you should always start with 10 when doing your whole head , 1. It’s gonna be a long process 2.the back of your head is pretty warm and it’s gonna help the lightener get more lift faster

This is so educational! I'd like to see developer volume as cars' maximum speed to get to a fixed point, you will get there eventually but the only difference is the time they take. Ok, imma mix my 20 and 10, cuz i might take long to do my full head

I recently went to hairdresser to lighten my hair and do balayage, but the result wasn't ok at all and I cannot explain it as they speak french and I don't. My hair was dyed level 6 red at the begining, then when i went they did only foils highlight so now i have mixed hair blonde and dark red. It doesn't look nice. 1- how can i tone that, what number shade eq can i use to tone and keep the blonde ? 2- can i do balayage again on my hair or it will break the blonde pieces ? Thanks alotttttt Sarah

Hi Sam, thanks for the helpful video! I started using the same lightener for my baby lights/highlights and I was told by my hair stylist to use the 30 volume welloxon developer with it and to let it develop for 1.5hrs to get my hair to a level 9 (with foils and no heat). My natural hair level at the base is a 6 with some gray hair, and I usually have my base dyed with Level 6 Wella Illumina. In my case, can I also lighten my hair a 10 volume lightener, and if yes, how long would it take to get it to a level 9 (considering that it takes my hair 1.5hr with the 30 volume)? If I can damage my fine hair less with a lower volume, I would like to try it

@styledbysamvay
@styledbysamvay 4 жыл бұрын
SuperJezzara I have heard of them, but I don’t have any experience with their products, so I can’t say with 100% certainty, but I would think it is better than box dye. Supposedly they have licensed hairstylists that formulate the color for each customer. The issue with box dye is that it’s “one size fits all” and has a lot of cheap, harsh ingredients. But if going to a salon isn’t an option, I would definitely say that’s a better choice than box dye.

But if your hair isn’t color treated, you don’t heat style it every single day, and you’re using a high quality shampoo, you’re fine to wash it every day if you feel you need to.

Color doesn't lift ARTIFICIAL color. You can lift virgin hair with PERMANENT color if you use 30 or 40 volume (especially if it's high lift color), but the result will always be warm. But that's not what I did here. I foiled my hair with lightener first and then used the demi permanent color to darken them to create a shadowed effect. You can still see the highlights underneath, but they're toned down so they'll grow out more softly.

I did a diy ombré and there’s harsh line of blonde where it starts, and wondering will this help blend out the harsh line? 🤧😂 I’m lost

Was wondering if you could let me know… does the Wella lightener lift as good as Schwarzkopf Blondme? Blondme swells, but I’ve tried Joico and Redken lighteners and they just don’t lift as well. Been contemplating about trying the Blondor.
