Wow!!! Absolutely Gorgeous! You are stunning and you have the exact haircolor I want! Great video- Thank you! I just spent $200 at a salon for THE WORST highlight job I've ever had in my life. I swear the girl must've used hand lotion from the dollar store instead of developer on me because even though she spent 3 and half hours on my "Highlights", I left with the same dark hair on top and extremely grey-green tone everywhere else! Ugghhhhhhhh!!! Forget it! I'm doing this myself! Hope I can order the same toner off Amazon! I just subscribed and am going to drink my face off and binge-watch the rest of your videos all night because I'm sick of looking at this mess in the mirror and crying! Thank you again! I'm pretty sure I've watched at least 80 hours of youtube videos on how to fix this- and yours is the best by far! Screw Elle Bangs! You Rock! :)

Great instructral video . The twp parts I find the hardest is doing the back yourself (obvs) and judging when it's lightened enough to rinse off - its so tricky eve when you think it's pale enough you rinse then realise you should have left it another few minutes. A video about either of these would be great.
@gwendolyngonzales46324 жыл бұрын
Hi! Your video is very clear and easy to follow with no sensationalism. Thanks! I have a question. I've been a labor and delivery nurse for the last fifteen years, but I was a hairdresser at a busy salon cooperation in Houston throughout the eighties. I did color for the first few years, but then we departmentalized and I was more of a hair-cutter/ finisher so that's where I settled. I've been coloring my own hair red for longer than I can remember. At this time I have a ton of grey hair and I would like to start transitioning to grey. Do you think I could use the foil technique with my color to let the grey slowly filter in? I thought if I just do the top section like you were doing it will just fall over everything else. The lower parts of my hair don't have as much grey anyway. I would love to hear your opinion! Thanks

Can I continue on the sides if I have no highlights at all? Do you recommend this for someone that is sort of handy with diy or could it become a total disaster?
@JamiSwanBeauty5 жыл бұрын
honeyb162 yes I do my sides too when they get too grown out. Just section from the top of the ear and up and highlight within that section. You can section foils on an angle on the sides. If you know the basics of coloring hair ie. toning, volumes of developer and levels of hair colors then it’s suuuuper easy.

Great video! thanks for sharing. When I apply the color (which is dark brown) I only touch the new roots, the problem is when I wash it, it bleed into the rest of my hair, it ruins my new highlights and make them darker and greenish. It has been a huge stress for me and my hair having to highlight it often to keep the highlights bright. Any tips.?
@mulliganstew724 жыл бұрын
TheBandoury same here!!! I would love advice on how to avoid this. I tried coating it in olive oil & coconut oil, both separately and together and still got color bleed on my blonde highlights. This prompts me to go in with dish soap & a heavy hitting clarifying shampoo in attempt to remove it. Lol no good, no good!
@TheBandoury4 жыл бұрын
@@mulliganstew72 oh that's bad!! dish soap is very strong alkaline will strip your hair from oil. I tried to saturate my hair with conditioner not the root, right before rinsing the color off the root, it did not work. Last month I colored my roots, I saturated my hair not the roots with shampoo before rinsing the root, I think it worked, but I cannot confirm 100% because my highlights were already ruined from the prior coloring. Next time right before rinsing off the color, I will wet my hair with very cold water to seal it , then saturate it with mixed shampoo& conditioner, then rinse off the color with very cold water , that will seal the roots and minimize the bleeding.
@queeny-l1r4 жыл бұрын

Hey great video. Would 30 volume be strong enough for highlights on fine hair? Also quick question can I use a highlift permanent color on my dark roots and then go in and weave highlights using the same formula, or do I use bleach powder instead?
@JamiSwanBeauty5 жыл бұрын
It all depends usually on fine hair I would suggest 20 or really watch your 30 good. If you wanted to change your base you could do that with the color then highlight with lightener/bleach. Colors usually lift quite warm so depending on your base color and undertones you might want to only lift a few levels with color and use an ash based one. That’s just general tips granted I haven’t seen your hair ☺️

@kristinbull44514 жыл бұрын
Not if you want to lighten your hair to the level she did which is considered a level 10. You especially can’t do that without using lightener (bleach) if you have color in your hair previously. You can always tone with a demi or semi-permanent but you cannot lighten color with color. For that you have to use a lightener unfortunately. I hope that helps. P.S. I’m a trained cosmetologist just so you don’t think I’m talking out of my a**. Excuse my language.

Your color/look is exactly what I want, how will I know what to use for myself to achieve the color I’m looking for? I know I will need to highlight and tone.
@JamiSwanBeauty6 жыл бұрын
Hey!!! Sorry for the late reply! Since having my baby I took a bit of time off KZbin but getting back to it now 👏🏼. For toner just remember the color wheel. Purple cancels out yellow and blue cancels out orange and green cancels out red so depending on how light you are able to get your hair, toning with anything with a slight hue of these will get you a neutral blonde. If you’re getting your hair to a pale pale blonde as long as you have a toner with a slight bit of purple you will be gtg. Then just watch it and when it gets to where you want wash it out. Toners don’t always need to process the whole amount of time just to the desired color you want. Hope that helps ❤️
