The Mastercard logo on the Chase debit card is different than the usual orange/yellow circles, is there any reason for it? The logo resembles Mastercard elite card. Does Chase debit card have any elite perks with it?

No, it's a regular Mastercard so I assume the logo colour is just a styling decision in this case. Interestingly, I have a card from Revolut which says Visa Infinite but comes with no premium perks either. Have been meaning to dig into how all of this works.

They did give me a retention offer, video coming in early August, once I hit the 1 year anniversary with the Gold card :)

If you setup direct debit on Chase account, do you get paid cashback on DD? Or, the cashback is only when debit card is used for purchases? TIA

No, you only get cashback on purchases made using the card

@@akshaypotdar1840 opening a new current account does cause a small drop in your credit score. Personally, I don't worry about these since they're temporary and I know I'll be fine mid / long term. But bear in mind that this is just my experience and I don't have inside knowledge from credit agencies or lenders :)

Yep, I currently don't have an Amex BA card. I agree the voucher is super valuable in the right circumstances (and actually covered it in another video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6jOc5Kigd1oZq8). I have another 9 months before I become eligible for the welcome bonus on BA Premium Plus at which point I'll consider getting it again.

I am with Barclays and am thinking about getting the £12 per month Avios however, I already have an Amex gold card. Would it still be worth it as I can transfer Amex points to avios anyway?

Depends on whether you need / want the Avios. Barclays Avios Rewards basically allows you to buy 1500 Avios for £12, which works out to 0.8p per Avios. If you normally get more value than 0.8p per 1 Avios when spending them, then it seems worthwhile.
