Hey Budda - I’m starting to wonder if I have a faulty unit… I love how my hx stomp sounds in my amp the pedals are like 95% accurate to my actual board and king of tone but the hx effects sounds really bad and fizzy and way too bright despite being the same preset and I can’t figure it out. On the hx stomp I can set the input impedance and that’s huge but I can’t do that on the effects. Have you ran into any issues or solutions to this?
@BuddaGuedes3 жыл бұрын
Not at all! They should be the same brains with the hx effects just having less the IR and amp sim
@maseratination3 жыл бұрын
I am assuming this was all in front of the amp? Was it going into your Lonestar? I was going to buy a Fractal FM9 as my only set up at home with monitors but decided to stick with pedals and ordered a ToneKing Gremlin. I crave tube tone 🤪🇨🇦

I create tracks all day... and used to use Pod Farm 2 to go thru hundreds of cool presets looking for inspiration for the next part I was tracking. There were so many cool fx chains (and song/artist styles) people made to download free, so there were hundreds of tones/sounds I would have never dialed in that I could use. Now I'd like to add something on my studio pedalboard ...to add that kind of variety of pre-made flavors I could use for my recordings. Does the HX Effect allow me to load up a bunch of presets like that... and do they still offer a forum to find & download for HX Effects? I use a Kemper for most amp tones now so that part is not needed. Thanks!

I think they do, because the architecture is the same …

Hi! First video I see of you. Great stuff as I just got an HX Effects myself and started programming it this weekend. Just a few comments as this may confuse some people new to the HX Effects : You kept calling Presets, "Banks" and sometimes Snapshots, Presets. They are different things. The hierarchy here is Banks > Presets > Snapshots (4 Presets per bank then 4 Snapshots per Preset. Also, the "Heir Apparent" is actually the "Prince of Tone" which is half of a King of Tone. The "Tone Sovereign" is the actual King of Tone v4 with both sides of the pedal accounted for and interacting. Nitpicking maybe but that kept bugging me as I have this stuff filling my head right now ;)

Thanks for clarifying that stuff. Names are always important
