I’ve been looking at this tool for a while, I love my roll n go but I’ve been wanting something smaller. Thank you for the lovely tutorial!

I love it too and it’s nice to have both as resources ❤️

I've had this for a few years and it's a neat little tool to have, if not for the novelty factor alone. A bit tricky to use on superlong hair but it delivers uniform curls anyway.

Yes I love it and agree it tricky to use on long hair. I also use it for styling curls for updos as well 😊

Oh love, your making this so much more complicated than it needs to be. Just grab some hair, twirl it, then curl it around your finger on your head, and pin it. No need for all that exact parting. Pin curling an entire head of hair takes no longer than 5-10 minutes. I've been doing this for the past 20 years. Comes out perfect everytime.

Is the idea of doing this without a setting pattern that you just alternate the way you curl the pin curl each time? Is that what creates a good wave?
@mrstdupuy2 жыл бұрын
This tutorial doesn’t have and waving or alternating rows but my next video will. But yes horizontal rows will breathe a wave across.

This is very interesting, I wish I could see someone with long thick hair do it.

Can you use something else? Like a homemade tool?

Dearest Tessa. Thank you for this Tutorial. Finally I understand what Pincurling patterns mean lol. I have a few questions: 1) How long does it take you to fix your pincurls? 2) How often per week are you doing this ritual? 3) about the setting lotion; why do we mix it with water? What would happen if we wouldnt do that? and how much water do we add. I ordered yours on amazon but I got a little scared that without the right amount of water i would be giving my hair a perm. Which I wouldnt want because I might not get nice curls the first few attemps lol.

Hi Janine! I typically only set my hair once a week And wear advantage over the weekends during the week for my job I actually have to wear a wig so there’s no point in me maintaining my hair. Depending on the pincurl message that I’m using it usually takes me about 45 minutes to an hour but a roller set takes me less time. You don’t have to dilate your setting lotion with water but I usually just follow the instructions on the bottle which is a 1 to 3 ratio so for every 1 tablespoon of setting lotion you would want 3 tablespoons of water. But it definitely depends on your hair type. You can try it with that dilution and if you feel like it wasn’t strong enough you could do a 50-50.

@@mrstdupuy That is great thank you! I remember when I was young I had a set of curlers (think rocking rollers) and there was a spray that came along with it that made your hair very elastic (nice curls). I think that was setting lotion as well. I live in The Netherlands so My English is not native and a lot of products are new to me. I am very thankful that you are so kind to help

I’m new to this kind of set and I’m struggling to find a way to cover my hair overnight. A scarf mashes/flattens my standing pincurls.

A sheer gainer can be warn and you can leave your standing curls outside of your scarf 🙌
