How Indigenous stewardship made a barren wasteland teem with life

Wildlife is returning to land that was decimated by the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway in the 1950s in the First Nation community of Kahnawake. A decade-long restoration effort has encouraged better soil and moisture, which brought animals and other plants.
