I learn in 10 minutes with Hans more about watches than in the whole time that i spent on youtube watching other channels. Since i don't use Instagram i will ask my question here and i really hope it will come up in the next Q@A. Sinn Navitimer with Sellita500 or Damasko dc56 with valjoux 7750? Thanks

You two were already talking about this topic a few years ago but now I want to extend it. What are the differences between Swiss, German, Japanese and now also Chinese watch movements? To a certain extend all countries are able to produce good movements, for sure, but would you, Hans, be able to tell the differences if there are 4 unlabelled movements from the different countries. As a non-watchmaker it seems to be very hard for me looking through the case back. They appear to be the same 🙈. P.S. I guess, the value in cuckoo clocks is less the movement but more the case if it has been handmade 😂. Best wishes!

I had exactly the same question. I also wanted to ask Hans about the the Delrin brake in the 1861. Is it true that Omega used the Delrin brake just because it is cheaper or does it have any other advantages over the steel brake in the 1863. Thank you! looking forward to the next video with Hans.

@@bhroh6572 I don't know if it would have really saved a significant amount of money. It was supposedly to preserve the teeth on the chronograph seconds wheel.
@bhroh65724 жыл бұрын
Matt Steemson Yes, I also thought so. But in some forums I came across some opinions that they never saw a teeth on the chronograph wheels brake due to the usage of metal brakes and it was just what omega wanted the customers to believe. So I was curious what the master watchmaker’s take is on this matter. 😉
