As a monk, your MAIN method of attacking enemies is your unarmed attacks. You are mostly just using your weapon (ideally a quarterstaff) to give you stats or special abilities. By the time you get to Act 3 and have picked up some good gear, you’ll be able to end a lot of fights - using only your fists - before all of your companions get to take their turn 😊

@@Fazolive there were a number of times during my dark urge monk playthrough where I was just left speechless after a fight... I was thinking "omg, monk is so totally busted" but... in an awesome, good way :) by the end of the game my monk was so damn powerful I was just obliterating my enemies lol

Oh geez… you took the… painful route to the secret chamber 🤣 there’s a path on the left that would’ve saved you a bunch of reloads from being repeatedly yeeted into the chasm lol (you’re not the only person to totally miss the path on the left though, and certainly not the last)

With dual wielding you do attack twice, but it uses up both your action+bonus action by default. This can be toggled off so that you can manually choose if you want to choose both or just one, which I'd highly recommend as Monks have a lot of useful bonus action options like flurry of blows. Attacking with your off hand weapon will likely be a better option for when you run out of ki.

nah bro bro if you roll a true 20 without modifiers then you win the roll no matter how high the number

Ok watched it. You figured it out, good job. I will say this. You don't need to read all the books, although actually opening them like you did read them can trigger quest updates and stuff. But you should read all the notes and letters. And pay attention ,because they can make things so much easier. The other thing is part of the fun in playing Dungeons and dragons is you are telling a story. And some of the best more memorable moments come from failed rolls. This game is the same. You are telling the story of Fazo , you can beat the game even if you fail every roll. You can beat the game if half your party leave you. It's your story and save scumming is OK. But I feel there is more emotion and character development if your rolls mean something. And save scummung takes something away from that.
