Besides scoring poole doesn't have anything else to his game which was exposed last year against the kings and lakers series. His defense is really bad his playmaking when he's not hot is average at best and he takes bad shots.

I don't even think that's true. I genuinely think he's bored and unmotivated. When you look at him when he was motivated, the guy was incredible and over achieving. He was great! He had flaws but what young player doesn't. This nosedive of performance isn't because he can't play. He's just not trying and is goofing around. Poole could easily keep working and would genuinely be a star player. Why do I know that? Because the warriors wouldn't have won the chip if Poole didn't play as good as he did. So it's clearly a mental thing. And Poole didn't have Klay or Curry play when he was playing great.

Poole not giving a f*ck was exactly one of the primary reasons why the Warriors quickly traded him. Everyone in the locker room knew it as celebrated when that bad seaweed was snatched and disposed of. And as a Warriors fan I'm still incredibly pissed that he stopped caring and sabotaged our 2023-2024 postseason playoff run. I'm also happy though that he's someone else's problem.

I’d say the Warriors are very happy with CP3s production. High high high efficiency in assists to turnovers ratio, and he commands the young bench well. They are definitely missing some additional scorers though no doubt.
@peaceful344
@peaceful344 6 ай бұрын
Have you looked at their standings? CP3 is good but he can't make up for Poole's scoring production and that is clear. Poole was the 3rd leading scorer on the Warriors for the past 2 seasons. When Steph and Klay didn't have it going, oftentimes he did. Poole was also the only person on their team who could score in transition and get to the cup . They don't have that now and it show and it's hurting them.

@@peaceful344if you genuinely think that’s why they’re struggling then you seriously need to lay off that crack pipe. Their biggest problems rn are turnovers and fouling due to lack of size poole solved neither of those and makes one of those a worse issue for gs their defense sucks ass and that has nothing to do with poole if he was that important and good to their schemes he would’ve shown it when it mattered most and he didn’t

As a warriors people say would you keep poole or still have cp3 and trust me i would still want cp3. Cp3 is doing what I've expected from him getting 8 or 10 assist a game and getting moody,kuminga, saric good looks and fitting with the warriors system well and a upgrade to poole poor defense. Are problems lie with klay and Wiggins one of these two gotta give us a consistent 18 or 20 points a game. Also my expectations for this season was to atleast make the conference finals and lose to a healthy nuggets team. I don't know what happened between Draymond and poole for Draymond to punch him but since poole won the championship and got his money he's been acting real cocky last year you can tell warriors team had enough of him and the kings and lakers series last year poole was unplayable he'd attempted bad shots real bad defense to his standard and curry gave poole the lebron look like your gone. People said poole would average 25 or 30 points a game but it looks like he doesn't care anymore making stupid decisions on the court he's playing like he should be in the g-league

For real. Cp3 has been fantastic on the warriors. It’s crazy seeing klay Steph and Paul all on the outside spotting up. Like bro there ain’t no way you can guard that. GSs wounds have been self inflicted by klay and Wiggins. However it seems like those two are turning it around. I expect a massive win streak when draymond comes back.

Agree with your assessment. The non curry minutes have been fine with cp3. It really has been Klay and Wiggs. Klay has been a notoriously slow starter and Wiggs came in noticeably slimmer. He may have not been able to work out like he wanted because of his injury

5:21 “why would I not go out there and f*** around?” Lots of reasons: (1) self respect (2) reputation since this contract won’t last forever and you’re leaving tens of hundreds of millions of future earnings and endorsements on the table by playing poorly (3) professionalism and moral obligation when you are being paid $30+ million a year to play good basketball (4) basic respect for teammates and coaches whose livelihood and development depend on you playing well. If you play selfish and this poorly, your teammates won’t get their bag either. What kind of weasel can look their teammates (who go to compete with him every night) in the eye and do this to them?
@AaronMichaelLong
@AaronMichaelLong 6 ай бұрын
Trading CP3 for Jordan Poole wasn't about "win now", it's about cap management. Chris Paul may cost more *this year*, $30.8M, compared to Jordan Poole's contract is $a total of $128M over 4 years. Now they did pass over some draft picks in 2027 and 2030 to Washington to get rid of Poole's contract, but they can release Chris Paul next year, and they can also release Klay Thompson, both with no cap hit, if they so choose. So, if they think they can pick up some free agents next year, they have lots of cap room to do it, and if they don't, then they can blow it all up and start to rebuild, while they keep Curry around for a Kobe Bryant-style farewell tour. Remember, the Lakers were basically done contending in the West by the time Kobe was 33. Steph is 35 this year. Look, don't get me wrong, I'm sure the Warriors would *love* to have another championship run, but I don't think the executives really believe it's going to happen. They're already planning for rebuild mode.
@Fakaaaaaaaaa
@Fakaaaaaaaaa 6 ай бұрын
Kobe was done by 33 because had Gasol choking hard the last three years, got a soft injured Howard and an old ass in Nash, if Kobe had CP3 by that time he would contend for another chip, so sad he gave his last legs on a dumpster team in 2013
@AaronMichaelLong
@AaronMichaelLong 6 ай бұрын
@@FakaaaaaaaaaLook, you're not wrong, but I think many casual basketball fans tend to overlook the financial realities of running a professional sports franchise. Few executives & owners are willing uncritical fling money and draft picks at a team which features an aging superstar. Their job isn't to protect Steph Curry's legacy, it's to make the most money for the team, now and in the future. But even if they *did* want to bet on a "win now" strategy, is a 38-year-old point guard who's had an injury riddled career really, truly an ambitious plan?
@Kagemusha08
@Kagemusha08 6 ай бұрын
Steph is still playing ultra elite basketball. And the guy never had much athleticism to begin with so if he doesn't get injured I think he could still play this well into his late 30's. Problem is Warriors seem to be sold on letting that core ride off into the sunset. They already overpaid Draymond and will probably do the same with Klay because of what they've done for the franchise. It's very admirable, but it's also going to hurt their ability to build a team around Steph that can contend while he's still elite.
@AaronMichaelLong
@AaronMichaelLong 6 ай бұрын
@@Kagemusha08 Totally. And so was Kobe at age 35. But his supporting cast is *NOT*. Don't get me wrong I don't think Draymond and Klay are bums or anything, but they're absolutely not playing at the level they were when they were in their mid-to-late 20's. Father Time is undefeated, and everyone's contract is bigger. Steph might still be the best shooter in the NBA, but surrounding him with talent is a hell of a lot easier when he's being paid $12 million instead of $52 million. Klay's making $43 million when he used to earn $15 million, and Draymond is making $22 million when he was making $14 million. The Warriors are $42 million over the cap, and will pay about $192 million in luxury tax. That is *NOT* sustainable, and the Management knows the don't have to prove anything to the fans. Just take my word for it: Golden State is doing damage control. They're not making a run.

He got the bag, he knows the roster he came into will be a bottom feeder regardless of his effort, that wizards roster will never beat the guaranteed playoff teams in the east. For him, WHY EVEN TRY? To add to that(I said this on another video as well), the scouting report has him on the front page now, he is now realizing what it means to have the defense prioritize their coverages to stop you or slow you down. But, give him the benefit of the doubt still, he has around 50+ more games to prove himself, let's give him until the end of the season before you guys let the judgment fly.

He's not putting in the reps in the gym. He's practicing during the game. Winning basketball is simple, practice more. Who can practice until they're perfect, wins. Perfect practice makes perfect.

I've been saying this already man Poole doesn't care cuz he got his bag he's one of those types of players...maybe when it's time for his next contract he'll start to play like he did before.

The wizards just suck too. Not to say he shouldn't try but he could put up 30ppg and I don't think they'd win very many games
