"Working on content as a perfectionist can be a nightmare" yeah funny you mention that that's a confirmed trait of LazyPurple, I forget if you've seen his vid on Sniper but he makes a point about that in that video.
@RaptorNX01 Жыл бұрын
the beauty of this is that for the lazer particle his perfectionism was his downfall. that particle he showed, has an "initializer" called "remap control point to vector". you can see it in the list on the left when he shows the particle options. THAT is what locked the color to control point 2. and that is all it does. meaning, to be able to change the color, just delete that part. if he had just started deleting things to see what they did, he would have found the fix in a couple seconds. lol

I love these two. Shout out to all the perfectionists out there that take their time, blood, sweat, and tears to make their product for the sake of passion.

you know you guys gotta check out some VoicePlay. Literally anything from them is great, but my recommendation if I had to give one would be 'The Dragonborn Comes' or something, top notch content and I love seeing peoples first reaction to the raw talent this group has.

I can recommend the Scarab Lord series by Barny64, it's World of Warcraft content but it's well explained and takes some incredible narrative turns!

After you finish the LazyPurple series, I really recommend checking out Crash Maul's series of SFM animations. I highly encourage watching them in chronological order just like you did with the Winglet's series.

4:00 The whole "use an object's x-, y-, and z-coordinates to control its color" thing is useful and is usually done if/when you want to animate the color of an object but either can't or don't want to animate the color itself. However, as Lazy points out in the video, doing this will very likely cause headaches later on if you need to import the objects into a scene, as it'll end up being one more object that needs to be imported and one more link/relationship that could potentially break during the import process. (I suspect this actually might have been what happened to Lazy. He imported the laser and the relationship between the laser's color and the control point somehow broke during the import process. But instead of using the Laser particle's color value, SFM decided to use the map's default point as "control point 2") And I can sort of understand why the value range is clamped to a max of 255, as it makes it easier to cover the entire RGB color spectrum without having to worry about janky edge cases involving an overflowing color value. What I don't understand is why the minimum is clamped to *_-255_* instead of 0. Normally you'd only want to set the clamp's minimum to the negative of the maximum when you're dealing with the HSV spectrum (more specifically, the Hue part), as it would make it easier to smoothly animate the color shift without any weird jumps or "instant transmissions".

Actually, for whatever reason, there's an intentional file that sets the control point 2 to the default point. It's literally the only purpose of that file, so the fix is to just delete it.

Aye is nice. Suffer. Aside from reacting to LazyPurple, what about one of Soundsmith's many good series, or Fishtank's "The People of 2fort"? They nice nice nice :D
