Oh my! Now I have the "Love Boat" theme song buzzing in my ear! It was truly a fun fun show, during simpler times when we were 'allowed' to laugh at life's crazy moments! I even fantasized about meeting my true love on a Princess Cruise 😂

😅me too 😂, loved that show, I wanted to work on a cruise ship for years because of this show 😅. Until I experienced the worst sea sickness as a teen crossing the Irish sea 🤢. There were old Irishmen in caps, drinking stout, I think, telling me as I wobbly staggered on deck ( I staggered as the toughest up and down you could imagine!), Telling me to just have a drink, you'll be fine 😮. Love the show though 🤣❤🇭🇲

Love this story Neil ! Growing up I watched The Love Boat with my mom. I’ve never taken a cruise but I loved this show. Jack Jones has a marvelous speaking voice as well. ❤❤❤❤

@@alicesings1971 Hi there Alice! Cruises are an amazing experience! Lots think of the expensive, fancy cruises but there are so many more reasonable. There's also mini cruises (depending where you are). Personally I enjoyed my cruise of the Mediterranean. Tip: Ask if there's any empty cabins for free upgrades (booking late there can be). It pays to ask even if it feels a little cringe. Failing that, save up extra anyway as it's always worth the experience of an upgrade believe me. The amount of times I've heard of others take what's offered at booking only to find themselves constantly sea sick - go higher as you can! They usually have at least one day at sea and I just loved that myself! I visit Monaco (recommended), Florence and Rome among other places. Have a great day x

Thank you, Neil. Critics have called Jack Jones a "singers' singer" because of his technique and beautiful tone. At 15 and 16 in the mid 60s, I was in love! He was so handsome! While other girls were screaming for the Beatles, I was getting swoony over Jack's handsome face and wonderful voice.❤

A fantastic interview with Jack Jones. Again, I saw him at the Coventry Theatre in the early 80s, and he was excellent. I think the woke brigade would have a field day with his version of Bacharach and David's Wives and Lovers! He'd soon be cancelled for that. I've got a couple of his LPs, but I remember I got to like him because my mam used to play and singalong to Donkey Serenade by Jack's dad, the brilliant tenor Alan Jones! Those were the days when I watched Alan's 1930s musicals such as Showboat. Jack certainly has a good pedigree, and that smooth velvety voice is simply lyrical. Thanks again, Neil.

Waves Neil always liked The Love Boat.and Jack Jones. My dad loves cruises and at 91 he and his nephew(my cousin) love Princess Line. Their going back to Alaska next year. My cousin, Liz used to work on a cruise line as a Recreational Leader. Really liked this interview Neil. Infact love your interviews as you take such an interest in the people. Love seeing this about Jack Jones. I remember staying up on Saturday nights to watch the Live Boat and Fantasy Island as a pre-teen in late 70s - early 80’s. Loved them! Made me want to cruise! It’s so sad that so many of the guest stars are no longer with us❤️

I grew up listening to Jack Jones. Wonderful singer, very handsome man. He was everywhere, on every show for a time. I always enjoyed his music, but I felt he was always over shodowd by other singers like Sinatra, Benett, Mathis, and Goulett. Even now I have a Playlist of his music, which I enjoy as much as when I was younger. Great interview. Thank you for posting it for us all out here. It was nice to see him again. ❤😊

I got to hear Mr. Jones at The Music Circus tent theater in the round in Sacramento, California, USA in either the 1980s or very early 1990s. Long ago but gee it was fabulous. I believe it was in a musical play rather than in concert.
