James Gunn is an a-hole that is ruining DC, which only needed a nudge in the right direction and Cavill's return as Superman with a stand-alone Superman movie would have been just that right nudge, and would have kept people in content with the DCEU, and would have allowed better investment and CGI in 'The Flash', which due to the main actor in controversy pretty problematic, but when it was clear the DCEU got the plug pulled, people lost all their interest in The Flash - and that goes for Aquaman too, paired to the rightful grudge about Cavill getting back-stabbed. Black Adam was badly managed, and Dwayne's diva and true character should have been halted. They had all the opportunity to bring Cavill back, and give Johnson a piece of his own medicine by using his own words of the balance of power back to Superman coming back and then showing Johnson the door, and taking either another actor for a cameo with hair and pointy ears. It would have allowed the proper investment in The Flash and not that rediculous CGI, and would have made a Batman Beyond movie with Keaton. It also would have allowed far more interest in Aquaman 2, which and Gunn should have kicked out Amber Turd out instead of Cavill. There was Reeves' 'The Batman', and 'Joker' as stand-alone movies. There is no reason why they needed to bin the DCEU. Instead, Gunn could have still made his Superman movie, even with Corenswet, and make a Cavill Superman movie. They could have made that Corenswet Supes movie stand-alone, or as part of the DCEU as a young 'Cavill', since he looks just like him anyway, and even make it a 'Multiverse' thing. It would also have kept Affleck in the game. Instead, Gunn completely lobotomized and violated the whole DC fanbase. The success of Reeves' Batman has nothing to do with Gunn. Reeves is millions of miles better with DC than Gunn could ever be. Imagine if they instead would have given Reeves the keys.
