You nailed it about the faking and how annoying it is for people, I always argued that faking was passive because technically he’s avoiding all the hand fighting, and 99% of wrestlers rely on using their hands to setup their shots, but with this faking system that Burroughs has come up with, it totally negates all hand fighting, the only drawback is the faking system pretty much relies on you being a bit of a freak athlete that’s crazy explosive

Agreed 100%, very difficult to teach someone else to be a freak athlete lol.. I wrestled this guy from Kent state in college who did it all match and he was so strong and explosive, by the end of the match I was reacting to every tiny little thing, it was so annoying, he doubled me like 3 times, which really sucked because I was a scrambler, but you cant scramble out of doubles like that

@@seth.ciasulli yeah and any single time you get any sort of progression with your hands they flee the hold like crazy and then just start faking from the outside, so it looks like they were the aggressor. Meanwhile, in reality they’re actually running. It really just forces you into playing their game, and then cherry on top, they punch you in the face to keep you at arms reach away.

yep pretty much, forces you to reach too much to get into the ties and then they disappear underneath, the whole time it’s like wtf, wrestle me like a normal person lol

Pan-Ams is just Big Brother (the U.S.) beating up little brother (the non U.S. countries in the tournament).

The only notable exception is Cuba, which produces many world and Olympic medalists, although they don't always bring their A team to Pan Ams.

Yeah man it seems like aside from Cuba the rest of the americas are in a lull. Canada still has Amir Dhesi I think. But they are due for a new wrestler to step up and make a little noise. We had that dude Mejia from Honduras win a few years ago. And some decent Puerto Ricans. Look for Brazil to come up in the next 10 years though. They've brought over a bunch of guys from Armenia, Uzbekistan, and Iran who will stay in the combat sports scene for years to come. Plus they already have so much grappling talent from Bjj, judo, and MMA if they can just draw some guys over they could make some noise. Oh and that Argentinian dude who beat Zain is pretty good.
