good vid 👍🙏 I personally don't like KinitoPET that much - I got to many personal gripes with it and think it could have been better. I wanna make something much more purposeful going forward - I feel like I got better ideas (however I don't think they will be as markitable) either way KinitoPET has allowed me to now worry about what happends after school so I can spend more time developing my ideas to make cool things! I enjoyed the video! Its kinda crazy this many people even care about my project tbh!

You did a great job in the graphic design department - the logo and website all look very 2000s and I love it. My only complaint is that the font scales weirdly - a 1:1 mode is kinda needed for this kind of thing. Additionally, the game seems to be using MS Sans Serif, whereas XP used Tahoma, although you were probably aiming for a mix between Windows 9x and XP rather than full-on XP. The two fonts look very similar when antialiasing is turned off, so this is a pretty easy mistake to make in my opinion.

what if you uninstall the camera app though? you can technically do this via powershell I assume it will just show "You need a new app to open this ms-camera" or whatever (like it does with most unknown protocols).

@@doctornotprofessor It will likely still open Windows Camera, albeit with a "We can't find your camera" error message. I'm not really sure if KinitoPET does anything with the camera (since Windows does some basic sandboxing for bundled apps like these).

It can't do anything without the camera. However, if you are recording the game, he asks "why are you recording me" also using streamer mode removes the ip leak

i finally figured out the charm people may be attached to when it comes to your content. ill obviously see it in a different light but for everyone else, here it is. the huge reason is that toadbup plays these games with rich lore hidden without but he really just bums through the game like youre watching a friend play a horror game. like he completes much as he can but the story and finding the endings are just thrown at us and hes like i dunno but i did it. its genius and its something that requires much more than what the youtube scene seems to have rn. from the pebble further down stream, it gets smoother from here.

if youre calling kinitopet a representation of how people know "the ins and outs of computers", you would unfortunately be wrong. kinitopet was made with the most miniscule amount of knowledge about viruses & computers, its almost pathetic. how can i prove that? well, i can point out that kinitopet doesn't even have a set operating system that it's based off of, having aspects from both windows 95 / 98 AND windows xp. i appreciate kinitopet for its impressive graphics, but i wouldn't call it "realistic" computer-wise.

I adore this game's format and use of the fourth wall. My main critique of the game is that it felt inconsistent on what exactly was happening or what Kinito even IS or how much power he has over things. Sometimes it's a supernatural entity, sometimes it's just a predatory program gone rogue, sometimes it's self aware, the deletion cutscene in the true end implies he's had countless other victims before the player but this never comes up before, it's unclear if there were some actual real life murders or something and if he did it... Maybe the ambiguity is on purpose, but to me it just felt like the game couldn't decide.

Honestly this game is so good. There’s so many little things that you aren’t going to see on your first play through. One of the creepiest moments this game threw at me was when I was replaying the game while streaming it to some friends on discord. I was at the personal questions section and I decided to click yes to the mirror question (I clicked no before). Then I clicked yes to the question after and I decided to look over at my left monitor which had my discord on it. And what I saw was the creepiest thing that I was not expecting. I saw a face staring back at me. I was not expecting this and it sent chills down my spine. If you get this game please play it more than once you will find some great little details you might miss on your first play through.
