To be honest. I'm going to stop watching any "updates" on Kang or Major's until the trial is over. It's all hot air until a judgement is passed. Unlike other pro Major's in this commentary, or even anti Major's, I am waiting until the judgement and holding my opinion until then. If Loki won, the multiverse saga would be over. There'd be no incursions and all of Kang's variants would be making candles some time, somewhere. That would have been settled but shocker, it's not. All Loki did is set Kang's variants free and give the populations of each timeline the chance to fight for their existence instead of just getting pruned by Big Brother, the TVA. That's what Sylvie asked for and that's what Loki delivered. In actuality, it ended up just as HWR predicted; his variants set free. The only difference is he won't end up back on the throne at the end of time bc the heroes are going to stop his variants. That's all. Some channels want to ride this "Kang done, Majors out" thing to death lol. If they get rid of him before he's even convicted of anything, that's a failing move. Something we'd expect from Sony or WB/Discovery. If they were going to just fire the man with no conviction, why wait til the trial starts? That sounds vindictive and petty. They would have done it long ago like the other companies who leapt without looking. I have a hard time believing they're going the Johnny Depp or James Gunn route, again. They looked stupid. And Gunn actually did what he was accused of. If Majors is innocent, why fire an amazing talent only to shoe horn a character like Doom? Doom deserves proper build up over the course of many years and projects. They'd be killing two great characters with one dumb ass move. Panicking.

@@fredcamacho5333 what I'm saying is they could have used that same logic long before the trial started. At this point they're closer to a resolution of this case than the start of the entire thing. If they had in their minds to fire him, and they went so far as to change the ending of Loki to fit this new normal, they would have done it long ago. If they do it this close to a possible acquittal that's just a colossal waste of time, not to mention a piece of shit thing to do. No other way to put it. They could have been casting a replacement for Kang OR Doom, lining up new projects for Doom and most important, get people like me used to the idea of something like this. At this point, we're so close to finding out what the courts final word will be and they'd be pulling the rug right from under us, what the court says be damned.

The citadel at the end of time was always created by Loki. When we first see the citadel it's allready a black and gold building and at the end of the series we see the gold and the black rocks move to slowly rebuild the throne (and probably the rest of the citadel)

He Who Remains wanted Loki to take over exactly as he ended up doing. This is a loop that will ultimately end with He Who Remains back on his throne. He Who Remains WANTED a million Kang uprising, he wanted this. You can see the mural of the timekeepers trimming timelines off of Yggdrisil BEFORE Loki takes his throne. Meaning THAT has happened before too. Loki wanted to preserve the sacred timeline SYLVIE told him to let the Kangs come and let the multiverse of "free will" allow them the chance to FIGHT KANG. That's what he did. That's what they The TVA are doing NOW =Trying to prune Kangs as they pop up. They believe they can handle this. The first one after that was Kang from Quantummania. We know what happened after that. We saw the massive arena full of kangs hooting and cheering, preparing for war.

I think the dormammu idea is solid because we’re not as much experiencing superhero fatigue, but actually supervillain fatigue. There’s nothing threatening about a one and done nemesis. It belittles these great characters and actors, be it Hela, Red Skull, or the High Evolutionary. They’re legacy in the comics on purpose and shouldn’t just be done away with by some hand waving in time to roll the credits.

I just finished rewatching What If…? and was just wondering where does the whole Nexus lie in the grand hierarchy. Uatu is no God but I can see he’s more powerul than any of Thor 4’s gods and Ego, as he’s a fifth-dimensional being existing across the multiverse. That’s quite a change from the comics as well. Hope we can see him in live-action someday. Also there was a Watcher at Eternity’s gateway so at the very least we know his race is highly respected.

I think Kang will still be the main villain and I think the Avengers Versus X-men could still happen at the start of Secret Wars, I like the idea of the Midnight Suns protecting Loki, I think Doctor Strange needs to assemble the Midnight Suns in Doctor Strange 3 and Doctor Voodoo should be included so he can be the next sorcerer supreme just like in the comics and it will also include Blade, Ghost Rider, Man-Thing, Werewolf By Night, Clea and Agatha as the first iteration of the group because Moon Knight seems to be on his own and Elsa Bloodstone could later on join the group!

There's one problem with your pitch, Ryan; Wanda already destroyed the Darkhold in Multiverse of Madness so Chthon has no hold over other realities. He can't be the new main antagonist of the multiverse saga. This is why it makes more sense for Doctor Doom and his variants to be the main antagonists of the multiverse saga, as the Parliament of Doom would be a big enough threat to fool the Avengers and X-Men to fight each other to save their own universes before the Council of Reeds informs them of the Parliament's lies and uniting them into one group against the Parliament of Doom.

super awesome theories Ryan 💯👍👍, this looks very doable AND watchable. heck this could (finally) be where Mesphisto can be used in the MCU (and Mesphisto is certainly a lot easier to say and promote than Chthon). also wasn't there a rumor that Sacha Baron Cohen has been cast as Mephisto? he certainly has the cajones to be the new MCU big bad worthy as a follow up to Josh Brolin's Thanos. also Loki being Avenger Prime might just be the role that could convince Tom Hiddleston to continue as Loki. I think it's pretty obvious now that it will take a whole lot more to get Tom back because of how well Loki has landed-- Loki is finally settled, has a full arc and is now truly (finally) been ✨Burdened with Glorious Purpose✨. for all intents and purposes he's got the ending he deserves 💚. and speaking of, the same goes with RDJ's Iron Man ❤, not sure how else Tony could feature in the MCU that won't invalidate his beautifully heartbreaking sacrifice just because we need RDJ to put butts back in seats.

People laugh at Kang struggling with a huge swarm of ants -- but these are frickin' man+ sized ants. An ant can lift like 20 times its own weight. Imagine the raw strength of an ant the size of a bull. Each one could lift a delivery truck on its own. Supersoldier ant. Then you send hundreds of them up against one person. It's no wonder Kang had a tough time dealing with that huge ant swarm.

I've some thoughts about mutans in MCU such as where were they, how they can integrate MCU in a smooth way etc. I think you'll like some of them. On deadpool 3, we should see that portal scene as a joke (maybe deadpool was in there and couldn't hear what captain america said (avenger's assemble) and went back with saying "uhhh it's too crowd I don't want to be tired with killing bunch of things, I'm still regenerating phase") On the other hand, we'd maybe see that real portal scene again from a far further perspective that we didn't see on the screen and by the view of a mutant(s) who joined that last war with Thanos and the consequence of that war they started to create and reform a team called x-men. Ofc, we're still asking where those mutants and inhumans were while that war was happening. To rationalize it for mutant side, writers may say for 616, Kang knew mutant genes would generate problems for him in the future and he changed 616's mutant's fate forever via changing history. HWR may have killed all the first mutants in the ancient era or he may have created a formula to inhibit their powers. And writers may tell us, around the phase 1-2-3, there were mutants but they were hiding from people on the Krokoa because the island itself was hiding them from the outside world because of a spesific reason or He Who Remains went back to past times where prof X became powerful then kidnapped him to TVA, made him walk through the outside of the "X" logo'ed door (time-loom's door) then made him make all mutants forget their powers on 616 timeline (such as prof. X is using cerebra scenes) Nowadays, after all of these, when Loki destroyed time loom and created Ydrassil, the manipulation of professor X became invalid and now there are mutants in 616 everywhere and they're turning mutants on puberty without forgotten their powers after every show after Loki and because professor remembers this time loom scenes in his mind, this far tech future machines could be possible so he wants to create his own machine to connect all other mutants, he tries to make it possible. the X logo door, the little bridge and connecting other mutants' life (and calls it cerebro)

Well, this kind of goes with my theory of the threshold moment HWR noticed in Loki s1 was in fact the Bloodstones kidnapping Ted for their monster hunt. Then suddenly, America Chavez appeared, the realm where the Book was seemed destroyed and like it was then that Chthon could fake the message to Wanda but then limit her view not to the two sons who need her, but some other set that doesn't to force an incursion to let him in. He was banned from this plain and needs help, but the person who actually helped was Dr. Strange. I think its also a way to keep Kang as almost a distraction bad guy that becomes the reason the TVA is attacked because they are too focused. They don't see Chthon coming or any of his sympathizers (such as Nightmare).

I think they have positioned themselves a lot better to go ahead with a Fox Universes vs. MCU/Sony Universes than they have done with Kang. Avengers vs. X-Men, bring it! It seems like a win/win, let all the legacy actors battle it out and then pull together for one BIG EPIC MULTIVERSE ENDGAME! Evans Johnny Storm fighting alongside a Steve Rogers plucked from the end of Endgame or something. All the Loki variants teaming up lead by Aligator & Kid Loki out of the Void, etc… Renslayer can be a possible ally to the enemy and eventually have a redemption and come back to the TVA or something to help… I always assumed that was the plan anyway, it was just going to be Kang as the catalyst and ultimate big bad to bring everyone together. And he still can be mentioned as a potential, but that was contingent on Loki NOT sacrificing himself. HWR/Kang perhaps had never encountered a Loki that would make the ultimate sacrifice and chose to be alone. Kang had been neutralized for now, he can always be a threat that could grow uncontrollably later if warranted and that will keep the TVA more relevant. For now the “power vacuum” is still there because Loki is a caretaker, not a conqueror at this point. Enter whoever, Cthon, ok, I’m good with that. Especially given his history with Wanda and her past and sometimes familiar connections to the Mutant corner of the Marvel Multiverse. It all works a lot better, in my opinion anyway. Then soft re-boot the MCU with merged universes and all new actors for some of the characters and keep the younger/2nd generation actors already established to carry on the mantle of their respective predecessors. Lots of great younger and unknown talent that could take the new MCU a long way, there are still so many great stories and characters to explore in the Marvel Multiverse!

These guys don't know that anyone can get replaced mighty FAST in movies and TV for the smallest of hiccups. Johnathan Majors putting in his contract that no one else can play Kang is smart. Look at how things are playing out now. He is easily replaceable, and he knows it. People like us know it. How can you guys not get it?

Hey Ryan! If loki finale took place before quantamania, how did TVA know about earth-616 kang incident? Isn't that suppose to happen later then? Because the TVA we saw was the immediate continuation after Loki took the throne i think!

The realities didn't merge at the end of secret wars. Battle world was destroyed after doom admitted that Reed would have been a better god, then molecule man gave Reed and Franklin his power and the recreated the multiverse

I don’t get how the ending of Loki with Mobius making that statement has anything to do with shifting from kang. Kang did lose in Quantum Mania nothing mobius said wasn’t true. Unless Marvel was already shifting back then. It doesn’t make sense

I remember some one watching the show early and saying, there was no way Disney can depart from Kang with how Loki 2 ended. But it was the exact opposite.

I feel like Loki would've went thru rewrites and reshoots if that happened which we know there weren't any reshoots for it so that's the ending they had for the show before JM's legal troubles came to light

it's been confirmed everywhere (including Screen Crush) that the original ep5 of Loki S2 "was nuked" meaning it was scrapped and a rewrite had to be done for the whole ep. if you look at ep 5 and 6 carefully you can see where some really good editing was done of existing footage to fit the new narrative. the Majors legal issues first surfaced in March 2023, the SAG AFTRA strike didn't happen until summertime, they certainly had a few more weeks / months to do specific pick up shots to help piece together what we eventually saw as Ep 5 and 6. another proof is that certain central characters like Renslayer, Brad and even Ms Minutes was suddenly an afterthought when they were so big in Eps 1-4. given how proper the Loki series is developed and produced, such glaring mistakes isn't something they would do, and yet here we are.

solid, great counter points didn't even think about the nuked episode tbh..however I still think they won't change or let go of Majors and at least let him finish out this phase but will probably be quickly overtaken by whoever the next big bad is without any lingering questions of variants left behind..my opinions of course@@steelsheen
