Best thing of all when growing your hair out long: *Don't keep looking at yourself in the mirror 10 times a day!* Consider all "a work in progress." Stop the worry of an Awkward Stage. Instead, have fun with it. A new look every day.

Some things that have helped to control my hair fall include: (1) I stopped wearing ponytails because it causes tension damage. (2) I began massaging my scalp 2 times a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to safeguard my hair from pollution. (4) Using gentle shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

I started growing my hair in May last year and it was short, just had the usual line up with taper. It’s been a year now and it’s up to my nostrils. For anyone wondering about my progress here’s how long it got after every haircut since. JUNE & JULY it was textured on top, AUGUST & SEPTEMBER it passed my hairline so it falls on my forehead a bit. OCTOBER & NOVEMBER it covered half my forehead. DECEMBER & JANUARY it reached past my eyebrows. FEBRUARY & MARCH it reach passed my eyes. APRIL & MAY it reached to my nostrils. Still going for a bit longer until it passes my nose. I have a curtains haircut just to give you an idea. Hair growth process takes long but it’s worth it in the end

My hair grows Half an inch a month. hair grows from the roots but taking care of it (keeping it moisturized and not drying it out) will retain the length. Using a good quality shampoo without drying agents like he said along with a good conditioner. Washing less like he said. Using diy or store bought deep conditioners leave in conditioners and OILS help retain growth. Scalp massages will help increase blood supply which send nutrients to the hair roots and push out hair a little faster and thicker but you have to do that atleast about 10 minutes a day everyday lol. Eat a nutritions diet and take supplements with silica, biotin, zinc and iron . Baby your hair. Don’t bleach hair like ever! do a 1 inch trim every 4-6 months. No heat. Use silk pillow cases and hair claws instead of clips and tight hair ties. Buns and braids on most days. Those tips has helped me so much!!

I have kept at it although I haven't loved it a lot of the time. I think I'll start looking for something better to do with it at the length it's at. I'm not sure how long I'll go but I was thinking either until a good amount is at my shoulders or COVID is over. I had pretty long hair like an inch below my armpits for most of my life but you know, all the new wolf cut crap started trending early 2022 so i thought it would be a good idea to try it out. It was a really big chop, it was an inch above my shoulders and could even be considered a pixie cut. I hated it. That year I really wanted my hair to grow back but had no idea where to start. I didn't do anything special and let it do its thing naturally up until it got to my collar bone but there was one problem. Since i have gotten a wolf cut and a wolf cut contains layers, like half of my hair was 2 inches shorter than the rest. So i decided to just even it out and make it a bob because there was no way that was going to work. Honestly, best decision i could have made dont regret evening it out. But since then, so like right now- I have hair that's right to my shoulders. Not a bad look, just sick of it and i now i am deeply missing my long hair. I have very healthy naturally shiny blonde hair, which is such a blessing but having short hair just ruins it for me. I look good with short hair but this version of the cut just isn't it for me. My goal for this year is to grow my hair out to my arm pits. Which after doing some research, seems almost impossible but i will do anything and everything in my power to help grow it out. So if that means taking a shower once a week, flipping upside down every week, heavily oiling my hair, and not using heat, then so frickin be it. If you have any hair growth home remedies, products, or just tips in general PLEASE give them to me at this point its urgent. See ya in 12 months.

Just take care of your hair and eat healthy. Take B vitamins or something.. idk. In the meantime, when you feel down and you miss your hair, you can always revert to clip-ins. 🤷🏾♀️🧘🏾♀️🍅🥬 Good luck on your journey. I was doing buzz cuts for several years before I decided to grow my hair long. It grew past my shoulders but was dry and damaged from bleaching and hair dyes. 😢 I stopped dying my hair back in 2020 and had to cut off the hair dye ends every 6-8 weeks. 😢 I cut off the last inch of hair dye today. I can't believe it took that long to grow the dye out, really. My hair is healthier than it was when I would bleach it and dye it every 6 months. It's thicker my bang is past my nose. The back of my hair is a few inches past my shoulders. I haven't grown my hair to the Middle of my back since elementary school. 🤷🏾♀️So, here I am, trying to see how long it'll take to get there. 🍷 🥂 Here's to the long hair journey. Stay strong. ❤

how long does hair from just under the ears take to grow to elbow length?
@Unnanymous2 жыл бұрын
The reason why washing less frequently is better for growth is because the hair's natural oils make the hair healthier hence making it grow faster. Shampoo removes these oils so by washing more frequently you're removing those oils and making it grow slower

I have not had my hair cut since February (lockdown hair) I have it one buzz all the time and man it's really hard to live with. It's grown around 3 inches as of now and really grey too! Not used to seeing my hair that platinum blonde lol

My hair actually grows pretty quickly... It grows a little less than an inch a month which I hate when I cut my hair short. Now I have it short and I need it a little longer to be able to put it in a certain style... 😂 very ironic tho

One of the better barber videos. Without the overly drama and insults to clients or vids like so many abuse women bleaching their hair vids and ridiculise them when it goes wrong.

From personal experience, you need arround one year if you don't cut it at all (i was growing it from buzz cut) and that is time for really tight bun, arround 1,5 years is needed with no cutting for okay looking bun and tying it without hurting your scalp (tho you are going to have split ends so its up to you how often do you want it trimmed)

My hair grows fast naturally but I’ve been using Cator oil+peppermint oil+rosemary oil and it literally grew an inch in 2 weeks. I know because I have blonde highlights and I specifically asked them to dye one in the front so I could see how fast it’s growing

My old hairstyle was a comb over and now I want a middle part. I was debating if I should cut my hair short all the way around and grow out my hair or grow it out the way it is. Any tips?

I cut off all my hair cuz it was matted, and it looks so bad and I feel sick to my stomach, ugly, ashamed, dumb/stupid, I want my long think hair back, I am so upset. My hair &nail grows pretty fast, but I’m taking hair/skin/nail gummies, and massaging my scalp. I just feel so stupid and upset. I’m adding washing hair to my list.

Went to the barber shop today, my hair would reach under my lip/cover my ear depending on which side its on, told him that I want to really shorten my sides, but only cut a little from my top, to make it grow more evenly, walked out of there with really nice sides but my favorite part of my hair (the sides cuz they were really comfy and nice to have + I felt unique with it) was half its length lmao

@someguynamedvictor4 жыл бұрын
I can't confirm this scientifically but I've had long(like to my nips) hair my entire life, growing it long then cutting it, doing this over and over since I was a child. So about 25 years experience. My tip would be water. I once heard water encourages hair and nail growth. If your someone who maybe takes a single shower a day consider a second. If anything your scalp will stay cleaner and allow your scalp to breathe, which would seem to encourage healthy follicles right? All anecdotal though.
