A few years ago I did a 2 week motorcycle tour of Northern Thailand. The day before the tour started the tour company gave me scooter. I had not ridden a scooter in decades. I set out in the afternoon with the company owner in heavy traffic, on this scooter I was relearning to ride, riding on the left. Almost immediately we dive into a roundabout with about 50 other scooters and cars. Once I was out of the roundabout without incident I thought, ok I got this! The next day when we took off on the big bikes (Ducati Multistrada 950) I was riding like a local. That scooter excursion trained me to go with the flow and revel in the traffic chaos. 🥳

You are braver than me! I don’t know I can ride on the left side 🤦‍♀️ but Thailand is beautiful! Also, what a treat to ride a multistrada! We, short people, have a very limited selection of bikes. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

@@Sowatha13 I've rode in Vietnam, you definitely gotta get out of town or its too congested. Thailand was crazy 🤣😆. As a matter of fact a bunch of guys from Thailand are coming here the end of this month and we'll ride some of Route 66 together. I cant do the entire ride with them this time due to other travel commitments. I really enjoy visiting Cambodia and all of the people I've met from there. I'll have to plan a ride there; I'll be back there next March. Oh and durian, yummy 😋

I’m going to look into the cost of riding across Europe. Renting a bike is something I’ve never thought of. You’ve shown me a window that I want to try. Thank you for the wonderful experience of doing this. My family has never left the U.S except for times of War. So this will be a first for my family. I’m Indigenous and belong to the Cheyenne and Oglala Sioux. You have a strong heart bravery for doing this. Thank you for this video

@@BillyWilliams-v5h you just made my day! Just knowing that I inspired someone to ride/rent a motorcycle to go abroad makes my heart melt. However, just be aware riding in Europe is a different story. You have to be more defensive as they drive more aggressively. I lived in France for 19 years. Keep me posted when you do .

Thanks for your concern. Not many things scare me, I’m extremely adventurous and have gone to many places on my own such as Nepal, Mount Everest base camp, Kenya, drove to Alaska to live there… I wasn’t worried about these two men as my relative dropped me off there, so knew their location, there were good online reviews about the company and to be honest with you, they didn’t seem to be dangerous at all. However, I always keep my guards up with a smile.

@@Sowatha13 It might be even cheaper to go for a motorcycle trip to Cambodia than to Colorado. Usually bike rentals there are ~$150/day... It sure looks very competitive to $5k euro trips and where else can you see 125cc tractor trailer ;). Looking forward to see rest of your trip there.

Happy Valentines Day Lovely Lady! Yes Yes, I know I am late. Riding in Thailand is very similar and it makes me laugh at Americans that think they live in a motorcycle culture. I do not miss the plume of smoke at intersections in Bangkok though, WOW what a horrible smell. I do hope the difference in countries doesn't upset you, I spent time TDY in Thailand training with the Army there. Absolutely Beautiful countries, cultures and people! Thank You for sharing Miss Sowatha, I am hoping the video release was late because you were out for a Valentines date. While I wait for your next video, please know I do appreciate you sharing this small portion of your visit with family and I am still praying for them all. Having read your description after watching the video you had me scared for you when you said something bad happened. Without proper safety gear any accident will be horrendous. I am envious of you; I am Irish and Czechoslovakian and know more about my Native side than anything. Living on the good red road I continue to learn the early ways and wish I could go back in time. I will be in Atlanta next summer where my son's Mom will have a B-day party for all the grand kids. I Thank Wakan Tonka she lives on the outskirts of that city. I do not know how folks survive in large cities. Be safe my friend and Thank You so much for sharing our Beautiful world and Beautiful You! With Love and Respect, You are in my prayers Hoka Hey
