How Loud Is A Hayward Super Pump VS?

One of the many advantages of using a variable speed pump on your swimming pool is that they can run much quieter than single speed and dual speed pool pumps.

Oh man - I'm really glad it wasn't super quiet - I just upgraded to a Pentair based on things I've learned from your channel.

It was quieter than the Superflo that I tested but I am quite sure that is due to the Super Pump being a smaller motor. Super Pump is 1.65 THP where as the SuperFlo is 2.2 THP. In any case they are both good. All variable speed pumps are quiet because you will hardly ever run it at full speed anyway!

Comparing similar models. Pentair IntelliFlo 011028 3HP is advertised as 45 decibels. Are they talking about 600 RPM speed? How the noise of it would compare to Hayward TriStar VS Pump, 2.7 THP on the same speeds. No information about it online (
