Mally Roncal has so much to share about building a signature brand while staying true to yourself. Use these quick links to catch the highlights of our conversation: 1:00 - How Mally’s unique upbringing shaped her love for makeup. 15:10 - The harsh criticism that nearly derailed Mally’s entire career. 24:40 - Mally’s gutsy move that turned her into Beyoncé’s makeup artist. 34:48 - The unorthodox marketing decision that sold over 1.6M eyeshadow kits. 38:48 - How to create success and happiness, no matter what you do with your life. Struggle with being true to yourself? This MarieTV will help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3OchpquYsutmbs

This was an amazing interview... The biggest takeaway, for me, it was how the universe worked to pair her up with Beyoncé.. When she decided to just be herself, she got the gig with B. Then, it was as though the universe was testing her again, like "are you sure you can do this? are you really committed to this being yourself stuff?". I think we just need to reaffirm to the universe , the universe delivers. 2nd takeaway was her ability to listen to her gut.. how did she cultivate it? I have to listen to that part again.

My favourite MarieTV! Heard a thousand times to follow my intuition/gut/authenticself, but this made it really sink in. There’s so much that I’m holding back and getting ready to release it.💫

Mally Beauty and Clinique was all I wore in high school. I still remember using the crime eyeshadow sticks because they were so awesome. The shade “champagne” was the perfect shimmer shade.

OMG Marie & Mally ! This was such a beautiful, gorgeous interview 😊💖🙏🏻 Every time that Mally told at the end of a story how she got her breakthrough or contract after being simply herself and following her guts, I felt so grateful and I got emotional ✨😇 I am 61 and I was raised to follow systems . I am still learning now how to be myself and to follow my guts and it’s a huge challenge for me. I have no connection with Mally with regard to make up. I don’t really use make up anymore, just concealer and mascara and a little bit of brown powder sometimes. But Mally said something about the happiness of other people and touching people that completely resonated with me ✨🍀 The only thing that I have ever wanted was that the people around me would be happy and that I could do a job that would make people happy while I would stay happy too ✨😊 Every time that I meet or hear a woman that is going through a tough time or doesn’t know what to do, I wished I could touch her face , look her in the eyes and let her know what a beautiful being she is witht an unbelievable potential 🤩 That she has the power to reach anything she wants and that she has the right to do what she loves and what feels right and the best to her 😇💖✨ There was no one to inspire me in my environment for many years and iIt costed me the biggest part of my life to find my way . I am so happy , so thrilled that Mally has had that support from her parents. My biggest wish is that all women can become free of emotional stress and are able to fully enjoy life. That is my drive in everything I do today. Thank you so much for this conversation 😊💖🙏🏻 God bless both of you 💖🍀✨ #discoverenjoyfeelgood2

So many good points through this interview, you guys are the perfect combo ! I am honesty not a make up person but I LOVE Mally, her philosophy, spirit etc. and the sentence that hit me the hardest with the biggest influence was " Do something that is so authentically you that nobody can create the same energy that you bring". But the whole interview was amazing and both of your spirit shines bright through the KZbin ! :D

God, and the universe works in mysterious ways. This interview was exactly what I needed. I had tears coming to my eyes several times during this interview. It felt like if it was delivered especially to me, as divinely guided to watch it. The part that touched me the most was when Mally said (paraphrasing her) that it's not just because someone did something that worked for them, that you should too. You should be yourself. There are many great makeup artists, many great chefs, etc., but only you can be you. I spent great part of my life lost in the thought that every time I saw someone that was successful doing something, I should do what they did, and that would work for me. And guess what? It didn't. Yes, it could have been that the belief systems were different, it could have been many things. But we cannot deny that each soul comes with its own signature, its own imprint. What is the seed you came here to plant? You won't see a banana growing from an apple seed. I think that what made her so successful is that she always listened to her gut, to her inner voice. Not the voice of fear, but the voice that connects us with our creator. Thank you, Marie, for this great video. I feel the love that comes from you to your audience. You are an illuminated being.

I love Mally's Beyonce story. It just proves that a person never knows what's coming around the corne; good or bad. Beautiful & inspiring interview.

Also, thank you for sharing this incredible story about how Mally took her gut instincts even if they were crazy. I'm in the middle of a major milestone in my own life and career, and at 27 I now know the importance of following your gut, rather than "what's right" or what others think you should do.
