I was on schedule and made sure to get my first design working and demonstrated it to my boss before I headed out on vacation to see my friend in Toronto. All was well. I told him about this trip for a month. When I got back, he told me that while we were keeping to schedule if I hadn't taken that week of vacation we could be ahead of schedule instead....

I will be in ____ from this date to this date, that won't be changing but whether I come back here afterwards might" and I had a better job lined up within like, 2 weeks.

At my old job, the company really likes it when you avoid overtime so they really try to push you to get out at a certain time. Even 5 minutes extra is too much for them, or so they say. But anyways closing manager will be looking over your shoulder while you're closing, but never bother helping. I'm thinking to myself, there's an extra broom over there, if it's a big deal, you can help out instead of being angry at me just because I happened to have more work to do for the day.

I’m a boss of 5 people and under no circumstances do I call/contact my staff when they’re out. Everyone needs their space to enjoy their personal time and I encourage it. Lotta folks saying he's salty, but I don't think so. To me, he's more than happy he's there everyday. He enjoys being an asshole boss, he just pretends he hates it. I got a boss like this, he says he doesn't want to be there and wants vacations... but never takes them and even comes in when he's sick. There are 2 other bosses that can do his job and fill in for him easy. He gets off on bossing people around and being a dick, so he loves it at work.
