How many charts are too many? How many indicators should you use? This is a video about confusion regarding charts and indicators when trading. OK.P
Today we have the facility to have multiple charts on one screen. Bear in mind that there is a little bit of an offset between having too much information and not having enough information. In the past I used to have two separate quad setups with a separate laptop and a desktop. Looking back I don't think I needed all that information. I think I just fell into the trap of wanting everything to show up on the screen. In reality you probably don't need that. For me now less is more... If you're swing trading for instance you might look at the daily chart but you won't look at it again. Same if you're day trading, do you need the 4-hourly? And if you're swing trading you definitely won't be looking at minutely-charts. And there isn't any correlation between number of screens and profitability.

I never saw the allure in having more than two monitors. As long as you have alerts sets you more than likely not going to miss any potential trades on your watchlist even if the chart isnt on your screen imo 🤷

I got 4 screens from left to right which is just right for me. i had two previously and found the endless toggling during low tf day trading was tiresome. Thanks for all the excellent videos btw, useful, solid content well presented 👍

As I said in your previous video about Revenge Trading, I am now only trading one symbol until the end of this year. I agree with you, to many screens can cause to many problems

I use a 49 inch 4k and i have the 7 majors on that and one other 29 inch widescreen that has some currency strength stuff/news on that one. Even like this, the 7 pairs tiled on the screen can be too much, i can still somehow manage to miss things probably from chart overload so i have been trying to have just the 1 pair on full screen and set alerts because you can also jump into too many trades when all 7 are tiled and not sticking to the plan. I also found this lethal with 1 minute charts, you enter too many trades and by the days end you feel kinda insane probably from the stress of watching so much movement. Less chart time overall is better for your trading and your mind

You should always have 30 mn chart open, for the London opening. 15mn are fine for patterns, then it depends on you indicators. I always remember David Paul who said he has a friend who use 2mn chart and doing pretty nice. In addition i have always a learning pane open..

I can only concentrate on two charts so one large monitor is enough.

Your screens in the video are vertical?. is that the preference? I thought the ultrawide 4K was the way to go.

Mobile phone not the best but good for on the move , I like ig charts for easy reading, indicators etc , but city index have better features , Mark what are your thoughts on betfair trading ? As I reacon good profit to be made weekends on them ? As apose to the weekend indices ?

Study found that multi tasking is less efficient than just focusing on one thing at a time. My broker give me platform 6 layouts screens . I have two scanners on each layout and a chart . I thing I need how times the stock are hitting my scanners I mostly do my scanning after the market close this it takes the stress out of my trading . I don't care about time frame because I mostly trading pink sheets breakouts .
