Accepted spelling of the tunisian cities you named : Aryānah Bin 'Arūs Zaghwān Jundūbah Manūbah Bājah Al-Kāf Al-Mahdiyah Nābul Al-Ḥammāmāt Sīdī Bū Zayd Al-Munastīr Tawzar Qibilī Taṭāwīn Jarjīs Madanīn Silyānah Jarbah Ḥawmat as-Sūq Also, visually I like the smaller circles way better. I think it would make things easier for you too to better locate missing cities on the map. Also, i'm surprised you missed Tindouf in Algeria

I really want to know who did the crappy transliterations of place names in Tunisia on Google that ended up pretty much on every website these days. It's definitely not a Tunisian person. That way of spelling them does not exist in Tunisia at all. Not on official documents, not on road signs, not even on any form of media. I really hate it. PS: It was so satisfying to watch Jake name all of them correctly. As a Tunisian, it made me very happy.

Great video as always. Love the series! My few cents: 1) Do you know only Kalinigrad in Kalinigrad oblast or did you forget to type others too? 2) In Algeria there is isolated Tindouf in the south west and there is pretty big one up north called Batna. 3) In Egypt you probably forgot Hurghada on the Red Sea. Also, on the Sinai peninsula there is Taba near the border with Israel (same coast as Dahab). 4) Yes, you should definitely allow yourself to type all not accepted ones in Tunisia and probably in other countries too.

@MorphiorАй бұрын
@@jakelyonsgeo fun fact, the only place I’ve ever been to in Russia was Zelenogradsk in Kaliningrad Oblast. I was there in 2007 I think, and it was really wild. Huge potholes in the roads, and the buildings looked straight out of the USSR. I was not old enough to know the historical facts, but looking back nowadays, it was quite stunning. Looking at it on Google Street View today, a lot has changed.

1 billion urban population hype! What's everyone's prediction for the end total population? I'm guessing around 1.7 billion, could be a fun thing to have the viewers guess? Also this is like prime background noise for doing the dishes
@ДжеклейландАй бұрын
Monastir is spelled Al Munastir in Arabic so I assume thats how the quiz would want you to type it. Edit: It seems the quiz site is using the website called city population for its data about African cities, and the Tunisian ones are all listed with specific spellings in there eg Al Mahdiyah, Al Kaf, Al Qasrayn, Aryanah.

Since the tab doesn't pull down, I can't quite see what you're doing to find the countries in the selector, so you may know/do this already, but just in case, I've found that you can open the drop down and start typing in the country, and it should pull up. If you mess up when spelling it for whatever reason, you can pause for a second or two, and then start typing in again and it should reset. Hope this helps :)
