Fultz was unbelievable in the 22/23 season. As a Magic fan, I can't stress that enough. He was special, and I loved him l to the point I got his jersey shipped out here to NZ. His return match after a season out against the Pacers in 21/22 was a beautiful moment - the entire crowd was there for him. Just so tragic that his injuries yet again got the better of him. I think Markelle Fultz is still an NBA caliber player. Whether a cabable sixth man or a starter on a lottery team, I believe that he will get signed. There's almost no way he can be a star or even an elite roleplayer with how inconsistent his shooting is. One day he can shoot normally and the other his condition makes him unable to hit the broad side of a barn. It's too much of a gamble for a team to give him a significant contract, especially with the new CBA. He might still find a team that needs a backup guard I guess, maybe on a minimum contract.

He completely lost all of the confidence that he had built up over his entire life. He needs to rebuild all of it and it will take time if he decides to do it. I saw him play for the Washington Huskies and he had a lot of confidence and played well. Later he couldn’t even shoot a free throw because of his problems. He had a monkey on his back and was constantly doubting himself. Jordan, Bird and Kobe would take the game winning shot because they thought it was going in. Fultz saw the fan’s eyes on him with every free throw attempt and was worrying that it might not go in. That doesn’t work.
