Man, as a Red Sox fan I can’t be anything but happy for Sale … the one thing that’s evaded him his entire career, he finally has.

As a white Sox fan I am too, he’s still one of my favorite plays of all time
@dollartwentychickentendiesАй бұрын
He 100% needed a fresh start somewhere else. Whether it's mental blocks or poor conditioning programs on part of the Sox' coaching (what I most suspect given the team's pitcher-injury issues for the past several years), the rebound just wasn't going to happen in Boston. Really hoping he finally captures his elusive white whale this year.

I think Sale is also a really good guy to have in Spencer's corner as he's dealing with his injury. you've got someone who's gone through it and is proving you can come back just as good if not better
@nicholaskatsikas4904Ай бұрын
I feel like this season has cemented Sale has what he was all along but often forgotten about by fans. He is one of the mostly dominant pitchers of his generation but was stuck in the shadow of Kershaw, Verlander, and Scherzer. Now he’s no longer in their shadow but standing right next to them as an all time great pitcher. Sale’s carer could have been even better if not for unfortunate injuries.
@kristopherwilson506Ай бұрын
I would argue, “rightfully” forgotten about, as he was dealing with injuries and covid disrupted the world starting in 2020. 2023 was basically his first year back since 2019. That was basically his whole Red Sox contract. Kershaw, Verlander, and Scherzer owned the 2010s, as they all won multiple Cy Youngs and were on multiple playoff teams (2010s Dodgers, 2010s Nats, and early 2010s Tigers).

As a Red Sox fan, and someone that's been a huge Chris Sale fan since before he was even a member of the Red Sox, I'm not surprised by this at all.. I always said "If Chris Sale can ever get healthy he's still going to dominate, if you watched the Red Sox games he still showed flashes that he still had this in him, he just wasn't healthy. Sale also is just a great pitcher, I wouldn't be surprised if he continues to dominate for another 3 years.

Thanks for giving love to Chris Sale. I’ve been watching baseball for almost a decade now, and I remember when he was in his prime. I always knew he still had it in him, if he could just get healthy. Now he gets the award he’s long deserved. P.S.? Good job Jolly in the floorball tourney so far 🥳🥳🥳

As a Sox fan who really couldn't be happier for Sale, I believe it is. A truly dominant pitcher, top 5 of the 2010's, and this season's comeback cements it. The ace of one of the 21st century's best teams, and even closed out the WS.

had Sale come up with almost any other team than the Why Sox, he would have been dominant for years. Imagine him coming up with LA or Atlanta, with good coaching, good strength and conditioning coaching, good farm system, and good management. But he came up in a system that sees stupidity as a feature. What team a player comes up with is as important to MLB pitchers as it is to NFL QBs.
