HOUSTON STRONG!!!!! 💪🏼 and that’s just not a saying in this city, we take care of our own down here. I was so proud of my city during Hurricane Harvey because the city really showed the rest of the US how we do things in the great state of Texas, especially in Houston. People weren’t waiting on first responders Bc we all knew they were overwhelmed. In the middle of a damn hurricane this city rolled up their sleeves and got to work. People were pulling out their personal boats, canoes, inflatable rafts, whatever it took to go rescue their neighbors in high water. As soon as the rain stopped, people just started helping each other rebuild. Random strangers walking up to flooded homes to help a needy family rebuild from scratch. When people ask me why HOUSTON IS THE GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD!l? That’s why! We look out for each other, that’s the culture in this city. Always been this way. HTOWN!!! 🤘🏼🚀🚀🚀🚀

Nice! Welcome to Houston (although you’ve got 3 years on it) 😊 It’s amazing place to live and affordable. The options like you said to connect with people & activities are endless and don’t get me started on the food! Yum!!! I’ve lived here my whole life and honestly, there’s no place like Houston or Texas for that matter. On a side note, I totally guessed you were from NY, before you said it!🙌🏼💃🏻🕺🏻 I live on the outskirts of town now, but we have a lot of families from NY, LA and from around the world here. So I guess that’s how I recognized your tone. Love it! Anywho, sorry for the long biography. Just wanted to welcome you and say, go out and explore more of Texas too!! Especially the Hill Country. There’s nothing like tubing and chilling on the Guadelupe😊

Did you move by yourself? Roommate? It's a bit scary to move out on your own as a single female. Just my personalfeeling. I'm from houston never left.

I’m moving to New York City bro well Staten Island I’m tired of Florida time for a change need that fast pace lifestyle plus I’m a musician so New York will be perfect for me to chase my dreams in

SlickVisions they say if you can make it here you can make it anywhere that is what they say that means if you can achieve your dreams in New York then you can achieve them anywhere once I move to New York I’m not moving to another city! It is no place like New York City so fast pace and all about the hustle and bustle
@djwestbrook365 жыл бұрын
Hey I might recommend against Staten Island or be careful. That is the most isolated borough and the hustle and bustle isn't as active in Staten Island. It's basically the slowest borough in New York. Also, sometimes commutes can be brutal from Staten Island with a high toll for cars or long ferry rides (though they are free). Research beforehand.

I was born in Miami but raised in Atl, 39 years old, no wife or kids, not necessarily trying to settle down, looking for a decent wage job, like to go out and try new bars and lounges, love the night life, where in Houston would you guys recommend?

It looks very clean and tidy which is lovely. Do you find it feels safe? How do you find the weather? Do you find people from Houston friendly? Is there a nice neighborhood/community feel?
@JeroyW5 жыл бұрын
Woof Olliesmydog Yes i feel safe haha every city got dangerous areas. The weather is great but humid as well. Yes i find people very very friendly I mentioned that in the video and yes Texas is one if not the biggest state in the world so of course
