I disagree on the senna, Since the factory did the work I see this as an advantage. These cars are all hand built, how often does the factory rebuild 1/2 a McLaren after 2500 miles? Anything that was loose, off, or slightly wrong was corrected and the car was redelivered to the owner after a proper shakedown..

Fun fact, the ford GT is specced after the famous Alan mann ford GT40 and rally cars. Ford has also just brought out the heritage Alan mann edition. Most of Tim’s cars do have a story or reason behind the spec

The team is underestimating the impact of mileage. That 675 LT will need $15K brakes and a $10K engine-out service as well as about $5K in repairs. It would be under 300K by a LOT. And the color hurts it as it reduces the pool of interested buyers

I was lucky enough to meet Tim at the Nurburgring a few years ago when he had his Senna there. Real genuine car guy who always has time for people and yet is always working too. The focus RS is a really special car, my uncle has one in a beautiful blue colour with all the carbon options and it looks amazing, it sounds incredible and it’s super fast! His car only has about 2,500km (1500 miles) on it and he has been offered upwards of $90,000aud for the car. He always says he will never sell the car. He loves it! (We live in Australia, and there were only about 500 delivered in total for the generation that he has.)

Tim has owned his first Clio for several years. It had been in an accident and crushed into a cube which he has. This Clio is a duplicate of that car, not the original. The Lotus Elise is not Tim's car but owned by a friend if I understood the video correctly. Like you guys, I didn't understand the Zenvo. Too weird for me. If he was after a hypercard, he loves the Koenigsegg cars.Hope Zenvo cut him a deal well below retail for the exposure.

Feels like this valuing video just highlights all the issues Tim has with the value of modern cars. Less than 10k miles and people act like the thing has been run to death. A perfect paintjob done better than factory to a real color other than dull gray. If you want bland gray just go outside and look up in the UK.

Do we really think changing the SLS from grey to blue hits the value by such a massive amount? I’d say personally the impact would be minimal as it was done in another Mercedes’ colour, by a quality company who’ve done a top job from what I can tell, it’d be different if he sprayed it pink or something. Sometimes we put way too much emphasis on paint in cars, most cars of a certain age have had paintwork done, some Ferraris have been sprayed in 3 shades of Rosso Corsa

It’s a good job you stipulated that you’re basing the prices off of US spec cars, and no example is more clear than with the Focus RS Heritage. Even with Ed’s $75k valuation, I think that’s still a little conservative. Heritage cars were selling last year for £65k even before the market went crazy; RS Fords are held in such high regard here that prices are loopy all the time, you will struggle to get a nice RS from any generation, Focus, Escort, Sierra, anything, for less than 90% MSRP.
