And the same thing happened with the van, and while I don't know what the offers were, Tyler tried to put a too high number on it.

I was quite entertained when he would the cheapest luxury cars that required several rounds of maintenance before dumping them for a loss. It was more relatable to the average guy than having three Lamborghinis and two Ferraris. Edit: four Ferraris.

I love this video. Fellow Car enthusiasts, collectors, addicts, critiquing a self described car nut who happened to get a brief education from failed jobs and auto dealer / owner projects. You all appreciate Hoovie, and give him credibility for home runs and miserable mistakes. I feel your assessment was honest and accurate, and validates the American struggle of finding a niche and exploiting it with hard work to make a successful, respected, career and lifestyle. AND help so many good friends (yourselves, Wizard, Ninja, Taveris, Jake, and more) enhance their careers.

I'd buy that Ram 2500 for $15k all day long. Pre DEF and DPF engines are great. Same for the Silverado SS. It will never be a showpiece again, but I would do a frame swap and swap in a better motor.

Take the retail value, remove the cost of getting it back to retail condition and I wouldn't say 30k is that wide of the mark. You have to find a Ferrari enthusiast who is happy to own a badly modified 348 that needs a lot of work first.

@@ruk2023-- Honestly I don’t think it’d be worth it to restore that 348 though because I think Hoovie’s reasoning for keeping it the way it is makes sense. To him the bad paint and bad interior just means he can drive it and enjoy it without ever having to worry about ruining it’s cosmetics like with nicer Ferraris.

I was a kid in the 90's. Of the entire Ferrari line of mid engine V8s, my favorite is still the 355, and the 348 is second. Perhaps it is just that those were the first Ferraris I saw, but I think that era was Ferrari's best for styling.

That 348 is actually up on most of its maintenance iirc. The paint is a disaster and the seats are silly, but it’s mechanically pretty well sorted.

This was great. You saved the best for last...I have a 1988 Porsche 928 S4 and it was happy to hear those numbers...had it for 6 years. However the prices aren't rising as much as its little brother..944 turbo.
