I love that your so honest we always have a load of neglected veggies that we sort in winter! Madness in summer! I get to the point that if I see another tomato I’ll scream! Lol now I am craving them so bad!!

I understand you may not see this, but my Mother dehydrated much of the vegetables that we grew. She would grind many of them. (making them into power) She Had an amazing way to use the vegi powder. She would mix the different veggie powders and add a bit of salt or a bit of pepper and dust it on everything. She would also put it in every meatloaf, ball, soup, stew, and salad we ate. She dusted it on peas before she dried them, that was a yummy snack. My Mom was good at not waisting things. I love her for it.

oh my goodness. I saw you put water in the bottom of your roaster and I thought to myself surely someone else has asked why. I started reading all of the comments and found several ladies asking the same question. I kinda of chucked to myself - you might have to do a video on why you put water in your roaster. Thanks for the great tip. I ruined a whole batch of spagetti sauce last year because of burning it.

Instead of grinding lard, you can chop it up roughly and once it's soft just take an immersion stick blender and buzz it into smaller pieces for faster rendering
