How much do I make from youtube, why I'm on youtube. This is my story. A violent dad and my own son

I want to set the record straight, tell you why I'm here and tell you a little bit about myself. I had a tough childhood. My dad was quite an angry violent man, it's just how it was. I'll tell you a bit about my granddad's and my own family and why I'm making youtube video's.
I've caught the youtube bug and now it's like a competition with the algorithm, and also a place to leave my stamp on the world.
I've become part of a community that I love and look forward to reading the comments from.
This Video is dedicated to my Son.
Kirk Jr
I genuinely want to help you to learn to plaster, watch this video, and others to fully understand. We were all beginners once.
Plastering is a skill you can learn by watching others and practicing yourself.
I really hope you enjoy it.
I'm doing my best to make content that can genuinely help you, it's taken me 20+ years to master my craft and I want to help others as much as I can.
If you appreciate what I'm doing and you understand how much work goes into editing and creating these videos and you would like to show your appreciation then I will happily have a nice cold beer.
you can easily send me a drink with this link...

I don't have a clue how I came across a bunch of plastering videos but I'm captivated. You deserve to do well in life! Watched a few where you've given less fortunate people free work and thought that was fantastic!

Thanks for sharing your fascinating story! I’m a recent subscriber and your videos have already helped me improve my skills as an enthusiastic DIYer! My current plastering project has been a garage I have been converting for more years than I care to mention. My drive is to keep getting better at plastering and your channel fits the bill perfectly. My goal is to be good enough to plaster in our bungalow! We don’t like the textured ceilings, amongst a long list of jobs. Thanks for bringing so much joy to the process. Wishing you all the best. David.

Either to watch for educational purposes or pure entertainment, they are very lucky kids. I will be watching them all, mainly for entertainment as I’m now retired, but with kids and grandkids, I need to keep my hand in 😉 and I will definitely be buying you a beer. Great stuff Kirk. Always nice to hear someone's back story and motivations. Totally agree about video being the modern day learning format for these kind of things, but I tell you what...if you wanted to you could definitely be in that pile of books too with your own encyclopedia of modern plastering. You have the knack of explaining things without overcomplicating them and to me that's what a great teacher does. Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to any future rendering tutorials as it's something I never got much experience at and then the longer time that passed the more I've built it up in my head that it's not something I can do as I work on my own. But it's something I would love to learn and have the confidence to add to my services. All the best mate 👍

Your story hits home with me. I am of similar age and was brought up in that era. My parents were hard on us just like yours. If I had a fight and didn't hit back, my dad would knock 10 bells out of me for being a wimp. He instilled in to us at an early age to learn a trade and become good at it as it was something that would stick with you for life, how right he was !!... You are a great guy by the sounds of it and this is what is missing in today's society !! I see so many kids aimlessly plodding through life with no goals or aspirations, it's quite sad. The ones that do graft want to be internet stars or work with computers so we are losing a skilled up and coming workforce.. I know it will all become computerised mass machine made homes in the future.. Stick to what you are doing, turning good honest vids that are great to watch and show people a side of the how our generation lived 👍

Only Subscribed yesterday and watched 3 of your videos so far, the gifted job for the grandkid's bedroom was very sweet. Funnily I thought you might be a soldier. You are clearly a hard working man and pretty smart also, recording these for your children is good foresight. Your character on camera is right up there with the KZbinrs people enjoy watching, like Mark Lewis (fitness comedian :) ) Mat Armstrong (Car channel) I have no doubt you could do this full time if you decided you wanted to. Thank you for your hard work editing, and the positivity you share with us all. It brightens people's days

From 1758 subscribers to 33.6k within less than a year! You are such a lovely lad, honest, talk from your heart! A little gassy from that can of beer, I love that :) Truly the best channel I am watching on KZbin. I hope that you are still in business! I am hunting for such a true plasterer to work on my house, and I can tell you, it is really hard to find one among all those cowboys. I appreciate all your effort!

Really goes to show how far you can be carried by having a keen attitude and a real addiction to what you do. I think a lot of what you're saying can be applied to so many fields outside of plastering. Everyone contributes some kind of service to society and if we can find a way to take pride in that, the whole machine will run smoothly.

Fab video! I hope your channel does get you the income you deserve and what a lovely legacy. Death and taxes are the guaranteesin life si not morbid. I have watched LOADS of dry wall videos and your dot and dab helped the most. I think some KZbinrs forget that it is mainly novice DIYers watching these types of video

It's so nice to hear honest anecdotes about your childhood. It's a shame that he was taking you around to people's houses for a fight though

Mate, you are genuinely one of the most personable people that is on KZbin, maybe even normal tv as well. Fair play to you & wish you all that you deserve.
