I can say, I have spent about 7000-8000 on our Cane Corso this far. And he is only 8months 😅 This comes down to how much he initially cost, vet care, food, things for him, & training with a great trainer that understand guardian breeds

My boy is one year old today. This is absolutely accurate. Normal monthly cost for him is easily $800-$1000 per month and that's just reoccurring costs.

Have you done a video elaborating on why you recommend grain free kibble? There are quite a few grain free kibbles that use low quality filler so it’s important to do a quality check on what you are buying as opposed to simply seeing grain free and assuming that makes it a better food. Raw isn’t always an option for people so I’d love to see more content on choosing appropriate kibble based on the ingredients

My German Shepherd cost me £40 in kibble/month...+ £40-50/month in raw meat/supplements I add to it + a bit more for treats, non insurance or anything else....so less than £100/month all in, a cane corso (excluding any unforeseen vet bills) would cost me an extra £50/month so £150/month at most.

My Cane Corso puppy will be three months old on 17-12-23. She eats raw food, And drinks filtered water. She has a roomy metal kennel with wool blankets to nest in. She has tug ropes, Raw hide to teethe on, And full run of the downstairs under supervision. I keep at least one thousand dollars on the books wirh my Veterinarian. I take her out for three walks a day (Weather permitting.). Short walks as I understand that her skeleton will not be fully developed untill she is 1,5 years old. Have I missed anything?

I got my Cane Corso from River bluff Cane Corso Patrica is great lady and her price start out at 2500 and AKC ICCF certified and I feed raw he is 8 mouths old and one week at a 100 lbs and very minute I'm not at work I'm with hem and they are not for first time owners you must love the breed first and it will be the best friend you ever had

Yes you can add the kibble in the raw diet because if you do it separately your dog may or may not eat the kibble because the raw diet is better so they may become picky

It's Highness ;) But you're absolutely right, its incredible important to take a closer look to the expected costs and if you can _really_ handle that! Pleas even before that innocent creature must be give to a shelter for that reasons :/

I imported mine from Spain. $3000 including airfare. Puppy was 4 months old due to needing to have all shots, rabies shot, and microchipped. I don't feed raw. I've never fed raw. My corsos and American Akitas have lived full life spans without any health issues. I'm not opposed to raw feeding, I just have never done it. He goes through roughly 2 bags of dog food a month...approx 60 lbs of food. I've never had insurance and have never needed it for any of my dogs. They are super fast learners. They'll cling to you when walking them..they will NOT run away. They love to lick. I personally don't find it expensive to own one....other than the initial costs of buying one. And NOOO, my import did not come from a backyard breeder in Spain. His father and mother have excellent pedigree and have been champions at the euro cane corso dog shows.

@ thats up to you. I don't feel guilty for feeding my dogs "dog food". Trust and believe, NONE of these breeders in Italy, Spain, Serbia, etc....are feeding raw diets. They absolutely couldn't afford it. How do I know? Because I've asked them. I've talked to them. And if they've got more than 6 or 7 adult dogs they're using for their breeding program, 100 percent they're giving their dogs dry kibble. The cost to feed 5, 6, 10 large breed dogs a TRUE raw diet, would costs these breeders more than they'll get in return when selling puppies. No breeder is spending $8k to $12k per month feeding these dogs when they can give their dogs "dog food" for $1000 per month. So while I agree that it is ok to feed raw, that's 👌 when you have one or two dogs to feed. But you'd be slamming every large breeder from here to the European countries for not feeding them raw. And if some breeder claims they only feed raw....call BS on it.

@ what is kibble? Kibble is food. Im not serving him a bowl plastic and rubber bits. Its dried, processed food. If you've ever eaten any "human food" from a can or a bag of chips....it's no different. Good quality dog food is perfectly fine and healthy for dogs. My veterinarian feeds his dogs exactly what I feed mine. I'm not gonna question the love my vet has for animals....his job is to take care of the health of animals. Surely he wouldn't feed his own dog a bowl of garbage every night. Again...im not arguing against feeding raw. But you're making the assumption that ALL dog food is trash and that people should be ashamed of themselves for feeding that. If a poor family adopted a large breed from the pound because they couldn't afford to buy a pure bred cane corso...are you gonna think less of them for not feeding their large breed mutt a $1000 per month diet, while their kids eat Ramen noodles 🍜? All dogs, not just pure breeds, deserve to be taken care of
