I'm in Georgia and have owned Bull Mastiffs for years. I was able to adopt a Cane Corso back in 2006 from a private owner, and he was by far the best dog I've ever owned. I would love to get another Corso when the time comes.

Now I'm not saying by any means that they should then go make youtube videos about it for the benefit of others, I mean, breeding takes so much time and dedication, I'm shocked that people like you find the time for it, and I really appreciate it. I just find I learn better through videos, and it would be super cool if more breeders like you, or maybe retired breeders could make videos like this. I love the cane corso, and really enjoy learning about it, but I personally would like to breed great danes, and I'm having trouble finding good, detailed sources of info about the breed. But your videos are still helpful because there's good things in them that can apply to all breeders and the breeding experience :)

@@lizarr7176 thanks! I found someone who is very familiar with the history willing to share her 25 year knowledge so more coming soon. Just so much politics and breeder vs breeder hate. Wish we could all just respect the good and politely disagree on what we don’t agree with. The breeds are suffering because there is so much greed. People actually don’t want to share but it’s like hey if you have 20 good breeders it’s way better for everyone than just a handful 🤷‍♀️

I been looking at Corsos for the past year, and I love the breed so much. I usually would pull the trigger on any dog, but I want to help the breed further the greatness of them - So I’m super hesitant, and want to be completely aware of as much as I can before I get one - I’ve never heard someone break down the varieties of way you can determine what a good Cane Corso is. The best education on conformation and temperament of puppies I've seen is provided by World Wide Cane Corso - Jen is very experienced and has achieved a lot. She shows every pup in all her litters commenting in detail on the good and bad points of pups, which are show standard, which are pets, temperaments and the type of owners and homes each pup will be best with. Her channel provides great education for owners and breeders. Her dogs are of very high quality, excellent temperament, she works and shows them with great success. Anyone looking for an education - she's highly recommended, along with this channel of course.

@@canecorsochronicles510 Like you, I'm here to learn as much as possible. I'm starting my own kennel now that I have full time to raise and train my girls. My 8 months old girl is soo smart and our training has really deepened our connection. She's the kid who loves school. Now I have a Corso I really love this breed: it's great how she listens and checks in all the time, she's a breeze to take to the dog park and after a crazy start she quickly learned how to play well and be respectful of other dogs.(we know most of the people and dogs there) I really think matching temperaments and the home is crucial for success with this breed so I'm paying close attention to this aspect. I really like your work on temperament. Lovely dogs you have!

Thank you for sharing, and teaching all the standards, just my opinion, as someone who has a companion dog, I am much more concerned about health than confirmation, IMO it's more about the workability and temperament, I do understand why we have a standard, we are all different and can have a difference of opinion, so the standards will always change depending in who is in control.

I'm concerned most about temperament and health if they are one that's more for companionship that's for me of course I want the bone structure and joints to be good so they don't have pain or to many issues but if they look a little different I'm ok with that pure bred doesn't always come out. Hopefully it works out but make sure you read up on littermate syndrome and cane corso same sec aggression. If you plan ahead and know what to look out for you have a much better chance at everything going well.

How do you feel about importing? I been thinking getting a Corso from Russia, kennel is called “Force Pride”. Have you heard of them? They seem to have beautiful Corso’s. I’m in Florida.

I’ve had people have a good experience with them and other I know that haven’t. I believe Twelve Titans imported from them so if you reach out to them they may have better details or may be able to help. I’ve seen a ton of people get something imported that was nothing that they were promised but if you get a a good one they usually are really good. So I would go through a bigger well known breeder to help you so you have a little more clout than importing on your own. Does that make sense?
