Key Largo, got lost from group on SS Benwood wreck video, with million fish, i also got a video of my first drift dive. Dabbing in video editing, so boring lol. I got more videos to put out, just hvent edited them yet.

I made a dive with the instructor a year before I made my open water course. They're offering trial dives with the instructor for non divers (and they only have the owner of the shop as an instructor). That way you can check the instructor and if you like diving (the trial dive was only me, my father (now also my buddy) and the instructor)

I just got certified and I got lucky with a price of $350usd and I wish I could've been PADI certified but the shop nearest to me was NAUI.

Vegan Diver Katt it was fun but it’s way easier to complete than PADI. There were many things that PADI does but NAUI doesn’t.- my dad is PADI certified and he’s kinda mad I didn’t do everything he had to do just for safety reasons.

If someone has occasional bouts with heartburn, should that be a concern if he wants to scuba dive? How long does someone have to go without heartburn in order to be sure that he does not have a problem with it?

Hi hermione! I personally have not bought any bracelets because they themselves are made from plastic. I beleive there is a really fantastic video made on someone on youtube. Danye Har I beleive. 2. The air consumption will improve by a few things : staying in a relaxed state, minimising your movements and use of muscles, improved cardiovascular health, and practise practise practise!

How do you become a millionaire with a boat !!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA I almost fell off my chair 😂😂 Diving is expensive and rightfully so!! we use life support equipment!! you just can't cheap out on that! Also, choosing the training instructor and/or facility is crucial. I got certified with a certain agency and instructor, and I actually decided to go for a full Open Water Course from PADI, and the difference is Night and Day!! My first (with PADI that is) confined water dive is on Saturday !!! So ya, choose your diving instructor carefully guys and gals !! Good video as always Kate... keep it up, bad jokes and puns included hahaha

It is not too hard! If you have studied, you will definitely pass it without a problem. You can also re do it.. Maybe I will do a whole separate video about the exams for Instructor and DMs... Especially the Instructor Exam.

I got a question.... so I have an opportunity to volunteer as scuba diver in my local aquarium, ... I figure this would keep my skills up until I really go on a real dive destination... ( dive trips are costly when you have to drive 3 hrs away)..but does aquarium dives count as a log dive. You as an instructor. What is your view on this Katt?

Dive trips are indeed expensive! What would you be doing in the aquarium? What fish do they house? Do they have any mammals? What kind of conservation and research do they do? I would find out if your values align with theirs

@@OceanPancake well you clean the exhibits, feed fish, and do education shows about the sealife to the public etc.... there is lots of training involved learning about the fish, sharks, cownose Rays, sea turtles, the aquarium itself and marine conservation... then you have to do all your dive skills again to qualify, also be CPR certified. It takes over 6 weeks to complete. But you can keep moving up to different exhibits until you qualify for the gulf of Mexico exhibit with the sharks...

@@jonathanchadwickartsandadv712 that sounds like a pretty good opportunity! I would honestly jump on any chance to be in the water. If you think you'd be happy doing it, then go for it! I am just very cautious about aquariums due to the ones which keep dolphins and in general, I do prefer the thought of all animals in the wild. But aquariums are a great educational tool

I did my DM in Thailand with my fathers instructor, it was a bit of a unique situation as he came out of retirement just to teach him. Happy early birthday! You would love it, it's an amazing job!
