I’m so glad I found this video. I live in Maryland, I am 49 and have decided to go back to school. This helps me to know how I will be in school. I was thinking 4 years but now I know it’s more like 6. 😩 This is what I want though. Thank you for sharing.

You can do it! If you did a Coordinated Masters it could be shorter than 6 years

That’s 25 an hour if 52,000 a year. Great video. I tried consulting in local but you have to pay taxes and I realized I make more as a PRN. It’s good that they took out taxes!!!

Thank you for the valuable information. However I do have a question is a contract dietitian and travel dietitian under the same umbrella as a entrepreneur dietitian as far as what field of dietetics I want to get in. Hopefully my question makes sense. Thank you

I could see how that falls under the entrepreneur category but entrepreneur is more business owner oriented. So more like chef, influencer, etc

I am about to apply for grad school to get my masters in nutrition or food and nutrition with a bachelors in public health. I’m confused to if I need to get my masters first, then I do a DPD or if a masters in nutrition is equivalent to a DPD sorry if that doesn’t make sense. Or if the two are done at different times.

Hey! Ik you posted this 2 months ago but I’m in the same position. I graduated with a health science degree with a minor in nutrition science. I’m going to get my master’s and have been focusing on coordinated programs that don’t require a DPD. Basically you’ll do the master’s program along with your internship at the same time and when you complete the master’s and internship you’ll get your DPD verification statement to sit for the exam. If you haven’t found a school yet I recommend using All Access Dietetics free tool kit where they have a program database. They have a bunch of different programs listed and they tell you whether they require a DPD or not.
